Hi all and thank you in advance for your insight. We are pretty devout MGM peeps but this trip we will be staying at Planet Hollywood so my in-laws can enjoy our comped suite at Bellagio across the street. We have never been guests at Planet Hollywood and have a question regarding rooms. We have a comp available for either an Ultra Hip Strip Suite or an Ultra Resort Vista room. Based on these room types - which would you select and why?

And a bonus question... does PH offer paid upgrades at check in on comped reservations? Would be happy to shell out some green for a premium suite if they do this and they have availability of course!

I would take the Ultra Hip Strip Suite because the room is larger than the Resort Vista. All the rooms at Planet Hollywood have been redone in the last year. Try for a room in the north tower for a better strip view. Planet Hollywood has been our home casino since we first stayed there as the new Aladdin.

I'd go with the Strip Suite as it's bigger and has a separate living area. Strip suites are around 850sqft with separate living room area and a large bathroom. While the resort rooms are around almost 600sqft, but just one large room which includes a couch. As far as paid upgrades, it really depends what day of the week and the time you're checking in (ie; a tuesday morning vs friday night). PH is a nice place to stay especially since all aging rooms have been remodeled already recently, with various food selections, and Miracle Mall right next to it, can't go wrong.

Does the ultra resort vista suffer or ultra resort from anybody's club's bass and DJ?
