On a recent trip I noticed that Planet Hollywood removed a bunch of old machines.
Old Buffalo and others, maybe 30-40 machines near where the show girls sculpture used to be. Now an Instagram photo op.

Area towards the back is also cleared out. Peeked behind a curtain and it looked like maybe more e-games being installed, electronic roulette, etc.

Someone else mentioned this and that sucks. There was a lot of machines the wife loved in that area. Thanks for the pics.

Is this the old poker area?
If so, it appears they converted it to be those stadium type games.

My last pop in there was 4th of July weekend, and they had removed more old games than anyone on the strip since my last play there (in April probably). Rows and rows of old IGT video games and probably more than 50% of all old quarter games I used to love. All the above was why I used to like their casino. It had few redeeming qualities for me last time.

    It's been too long!

The area curtained off area was towards the back in the VP machine area.
I think the old poker area may be part of the big stadium style e gaming area. They had lady announcers/djs running the egaming. Didn't hear any jokes someone had reported, unless that is on weekdays.

Agree @MCann couldn't find a quarter top dollar machine I liked, seems gone.
I did find a bank of older Buffalos slightly hidden next to an escalator. However that area was dirty with ashes ground into some of the machines. Also a had occasional homeless looking people chilling.
They moved some of the $1machines out of the high limit room and opened up the room/wall. Not a fan and felt like they had tightened those $1 machines.
Not sure where I'll wonder on the next visit, didn't like the machine changes at Paris and now they removed my favorites at PH.

Yep, it’s gone. Tons of electronic games there now. Really kinda weird to see when you’re used to it being the old way.

Yes they put in a big "stadium" electronic games area in what used to be the poker room section of the floor. Seems to be a fad as more and more of those are popping up. There were a number of people playing there last night when I was at PH. I don't really get it. You need to play an "e-game" to get one of the Quest for Rewards badges from CET so I sat down to try to figure out how to play one of the games. Could not get the machine to take my money so just gave it up and ended up playing a few "pops" on one of those new personal bubble craps games.

Last spring when the pandemic hit and CET reorganized, they let go the slot director for Bally's/Paris/PH.
I haven't been to Vegas since March last year, but those were the casinos that got almost all my play over the last five years.

Interesting. Clearing gaming space for an empty JLo Instagram spot seems like a bad idea. Very empty. The show girls bronze they took out was popular and often saw people posing there.
