Hi guys. Found out today that my wife and I are heading to PH July 6th. We've never stayed there before. The only restaurant we know in the casino is Earl of Sandwich. Any must eat restaurants at PH? How are the pools? Thanks to anyone who gives some tips.

Never stayed there myself.....but have enjoyed Yolos in the casino for lunch. And La Salsa Cantina in the mall area for breakfast......and a lot of beer at Blondies.

I consider their restaurants average, even their upscale restaurants like Strip House and Koi. They do have many restaurants in the mall area that are economical, again just average. But quality is subjective to the diner. Regardless, it's fun to try new experiences. They play music during the day at their pool, and they have an area where you can boogie board or surf on a jet stream of water.

It's my favorite place to gamble since they have music. They turn it up a notch at 8PM and have dancers in the Pleasure Pits.
What's nice about PH is that it's next to Paris and across the street from Aria, Cosmopolitan, and Bellagio. Their regular rooms are somewhat small with small windows, but if you can get a Vista Room, it has floor to ceiling windows of the Strip and/or Bellagio fountains. The room and bathroom are also larger with a strip-view window next to the tub.

Regardless, you are surrounded by nice casino/hotels, and PH is less expensive than many around it.

I stayed there when it was the Aladdin (the remodeled version)... I had no complaints.

We usually stay in the Resort Vista room which is at the end of the halls.
Small bedroom but nice big bathroom.
    Never been to the pool.
Our first meal the past few trip is GR's Burgr place at PH. Worth checking out.
We have reservations for the Steak place and it will be our first time so no report on it.
Earl is great for a quick bite.
The attached mall provides a nice selection of food and a break from gambling.
Don't forget to visit Fat Tuesdays in the mall.
At night we tend to bounce from PH, to Ballys and Paris.
Great location and plenty of options.

In the Miracle Mile Mall, there is a place called Cheeseburger Las Vegas, I eat there every trip and love it. Blondies and Ketchup Burger in the mall are also good.

I've heard great things about Burgrr inside PH but have yet to try it. That will change this trip

ketchup burger has a groupon right now. Pay 11.00 for a 20.00. It is in the maricle mile mall connected to Planet Hollywood. The burgers there are pretty good and big. They have good alcohol spiked shakes also. The abc store in the mall is right outside the casino on the south side by earl, has cheap snacks, drinks, beer, etc. If you need stuff for the room that is a great cheap place to go.

Just outside of PH on the sidewalk that goes south towards MGM is a Walgreens. Just next to that on the ground floor is a restaurant called Bonanno's. http://www.bonannosnewyork.com/ It's pretty good. Better than anything else in its price range in the area. Nothing fancy. Get the spaghetti and meatballs.

I stayed there twice last year and continually make PHO on my to do list. I had a regular Hollywood Hip room but was ungraded to a high floor (same HH room), which was nice, but maybe you can upgrade to the Resort room. As others have said, there are plenty of things going on at PHO. PHO has a great location, next to Paris with many fine restaurants, across the street from Bellagio and City Center, plus you have BurGR and Planet Dailies inside PHO.
Also, PHO now has the Flo Rider at their pool.
I stayed at Bally's about 10 days ago but COMP FM was broadcast live from the PHO pool, which normally is just a mediocre pool not warranting a live broadcast, but the Flo Rider really was a big hit (according to the broadcast).
Most of my times in Vegas are spent at the trifecta, Bally's, Paris, and Planet Hollywood including just recently.
I usually go for comps at CET hotels, so it varies, this November i'm staying at Flamingo. But the PHO casino is a fun place to lose money every time i'm in Vegas.

I'm a PH regular. I prefer the North tower, rather than the South. I like Burgr, but the lines can be long if you are not a Diamond or 7 Star player. I have dinner at Koi and Strip House every trip.
For breakfast, I like Mon Ami in Paris.
I am not a fan of the PH pool. If I want pool time, I'll go next door to Paris.
The PH gym is okay. It has an assortment of machines and I've never found it to be overly busy that I've had to wait for machines.

I will second the recommendation for Cheeseburger Las Vegas, although I don't frequent it. You are right across from Cosmo that has amazing restaurants that do Happy Hours on the third floor during the weeknights. Mon Ami Gabby is in close proximity, and that is a sure winner for any meal!

Burgr is pretty good but the lines are long. Go early to put your name down. They take your cell # so you can walk around/play in the casino while you wait for your table.

Since you're there, try the Zombie Burlesque show. It was hilarious! Don't go if you are claustrophobic (very small, narrow theatre) or a prude (lots of naughty innuendo and pasties) and do pay for VIP tix, much better seats. Cheeseburger Las Vegas is a must. Planet Dailies is probably the best cafe on the strip after the Peppermill in my opinion.

As far as the casino goes, stay together. It is hooker heaven at night and they will approach any single male. Very annoying and the number one reason I won't play there ever again. I think CET actually encourages his as they do nothing to stop it.

Both times I visited Burgr I sat at the bar, didn't feel I needed to be seated as I was having a burger and not a steak or full meal. I managed to walk up and get a seat both times. You're right, there was a looong line to sit at a table though.

For those of you who are Diamond or Seven Stars, BurGR will let you bypass the line.

I've got to try Cheeseburger or Blondie's someday. I always say I will, but I never do. I keep forgetting about the eateries in the Miracle Mile shops. Or I don't eat until after midnight in which case I love Planet Dailies. I always thought Planet Dailies was specifically a Planet Hollywood café, until I realized there's one in L.A.

Blondies is good for watching games (you can reserve tables online ahead of time usually for $25/pp min tab) but the food is mediocre at best. Standard bar fare, nothing horrible nothing great. The waitresses at attractive and the beer is cold though...

We tend to get there about 15 minutes before BurGR opens which seems to be a good time to arrive and the line is usually empty or just about 10 people.

We did do the reservation once where we gave them our phone number. This allowed us to get our Walgreens stuff done, get back to the room by the time we were paged.

We ate at Blondies twice. Both times we paid something like $20 for $40 worth of food due to Groupon.

Someone mentioned Planet Dalies which is actually pretty good. Had the sliders for breakfast and was impressed especially for the price. Not impressed with there milkshakes at all.
Definitely get a milk shake if trying BurGR.

Edited because I just found a Blondies groupon.
