I have the rewards up for me they’re there just sold out. Anyone ever use the piano bar one for $50 ? Can you combo it with happy hour or is it better to wait till later when more people are there and it’s more lively

I use this one every trip when staying on the strip... along with $75 in freeplay.
To me it's one of the better rewards for someone that has never spent a dime on MyVegas.

I don't know about happy hour, we normally show up late afternoon just before the pianos start, so we can still hear and chat with the bartender, before they start a cover charge for the seats were in. It does get packed at night though and looks like a good time. I'm just not a fan of lots of people in a small space.

We both combine ours to get $100. It's a good deal, enjoy.:drunk:

We have used it at Happy Hour twice, more for the money! David the Saxophone player does an early afternoon show, and is one of my Vegas Favorites.

I’ve also have had my eye on this reward almost daily now for quite a while as I would like to take advantage of it on my upcoming trip in March and it is never available. What gives?
I even check just after 3:00 EST as I believe that’s when rewards are made available and still nothing.
Has anyone had any luck grabbing this reward lately?

    Thanks
    Mav

For those who like to avoid times when this place is most crowded (at night), you can also use it on the side of the bar that opens to the casino floor, and thus come and go as you please without worrying about crowds or cover charges. And yes, you can use it during happy hour.

Confirmed we sat at the bar during Happy Hour in December. We used it up before heading the to Trop for the Laugh Factory for 8:30.

We got 2x Long Islands and 3x Vodka and Redbulls in while we watched the end of a VK hockey game.

They get their food from NFI across the casino where we had eaten the night before. The bartender just said go grab whatever you want and you can eat it here so I grabbed some pizza slices from a place nearby.

Definitely not busy before the piano show starts.

The rewards refresh at random times every day, not a specific time like in the past.

    Thanks for the reply @lisaloveslv.
As luck would have it, I just checked and the reward was available.
Question though before I grab it, the reward states that requires a 1 night minimum stay at an MGM property. Can I still use this reward even if I’m not planning on checking into Mandalay Bay until the following day?
(I do have a reservation for Mandalay but will be staying at Cosmo on the night I plan on using this reward)
    Any help would be appreciated.

No, you have to be actively staying at a MGM property to get it loaded on your card.

    Thanks @SH0CK.
If I am only staying at Mandalay for 1 night, this would essentially be the only night that I could use this Piano Bar reward on?

Day of check in or the day of check out, depending on when you had the reward added to your card.

Thanks for the info seems like happy hour would be the best use for this reward and then maybe go see a show after or eat at nfi with the 2 for 1

Do they have food and can you use the credit towards food?

@Headache 21 I was prepared to jump in here and say "no to both", but I checked their website and it does make reference to a limited food menu available 11A-11P. Although that was news to me, if they have it, I'm sure you can use it.

I believe you can use it towards food from what I have read.

And as I posted above they get their food from Nine Fine Irishman across the casino floor. You order and they bring it to you.

They also allowed us to just go grab a some pizza slices just outside the bar and eat them while we had our drinks.

    More piano bar questions....

First what time do the pianos start? What time are you able to get there and potentially avoid paying a cover?

Each member of our group (4) has a $50 drink credit voucher to use between the two couples... As a couple on the same ticket are we able to each get a tab and then tab out and start again with a new drink voucher? Any tips on how to go about using the 4 - $50 credits between 2 couples?!

    Thanks.

@shawnj1 Just tell them you each have a drink voucher and want to combine them. I've never had an issue doing that.

When you drink your $50 per person, enjoy your A game.
Don't order cheap rail liqueur drinks (that's what I normally would do), order something you normally would not or get multiples of something of higher quality than usual. Enjoy the experience of free drinks.
We also each have $50+ to use next trip @ Times Square.
