    My Trip Report

    Hey guys!

Another great 4 nights in Valhalla... this time i was with a group of friends and didn't really log things as you might normally when thinking of a TR, so I'll mostly give you a quick photo dump and some comments....

Arrived at DAL for the last Southwest flight out on Saturday night, and to say I breezed through security is an understatement.... As a Dallas boy, I can't tell you how much I prefer Love to DFW... it's just incredible.

    IMG_9387.jpeg

the second big win of the trip! HELL yes. Best seat on the plane. Two Woodford and diets, a couple of solid podcasts, an empty middle seat, and a little something MILFy in the aisle and off we effing goooooooo....

    IMG_9393.jpeg

This cat was levels of relaxed I can only dream to understand someday....

    IMG_9395.jpeg

The Lyft pickup area was packed, but I was in a weird ass Nissan Cube in sub five minutes and off to PH... I flew in with my buddy A, his wife K, and her gf B, and since #womenbeshoppin they all checked bags... screw that, I can do 4 nights out of my carryon in my SLEEP... let's do the damn thing.

They're all staying at Paris, me and my buddy BS (who arrives in the morning) are at PH... here are some shots of my 29th floor Ultra Hip that was waiting, mouth agape, when I rolled in around 10p. Diamond checkin was closed, but I'm not too good for a kiosk.

For the record, the thermostat in my room at PH had no governor down to 60.... as a guy who sweats like a whore in church and likes a cold room, this was elite. Only the Cromwell, that has tiny windows and ices that shit down to 50, can beat it

Once i got the text that my friends were settled at Paris, I headed up to meet them... pissed $60 away at a Gustav's bartop while I waited, but all is well.... it's first night adrenaline and I'm ready to go. It was B's first time in Vegas, so we decided to tour the TR side of the strip up to the LINQ, where I made a last minute call to cash in my Diamond High Roller 50% off and hit the bar cart. To me, that's a must do for the first timer. I know it's cheesy, but the bartenders on this thing are incredible and it's a great way to go from six to midnight in no time flat.

Holy shit, Turnpike is just about my favorite act out there!!! Screw airfare for being what it is that weekend.

    IMG_9434.jpeg

High Roller views don't get old

    IMG_9436.jpeg

It's Five O'Clock SOMEWHERE, but that sure as shit ain't here

    IMG_9432.jpeg

Bunch of boozed up Texans High Rollin'

    IMG_9437.jpeg

Don't you threaten me with a good time, PH....

Next day was Sunday... BS was landing early and he'd be at PH by 7am.... so after the High Roller I ran a few hundo threw some slots, was only marginally down, and went to bed by a reasonable time. It's NFL Sunday on deck, baby!

Grabbed an iced coffee (two extra shots - I'm here for a good time, not for a long time) and met BS in the PH lobby, dropped his stuff in his room, and headed to the PH book to get a couple little bets in.... time to make some inevitably shitty decisions!

    IMG_9443.jpeg

A couple of simple $20 bets.... a three team parlay that will inevitably fail, and a bet against my beloved Cowboys.... BS had me buy into this strategy a couple years ago... always bet against what you love.... that way, if they win, you feel like you paid for a victory, which is money well spent. If they lose, at least you have the bandaid of some cash. I usually do $100 on this, but I really felt good about America's Team so I chickened out with a $20 on the Dirty Birds.

    IMG_9444.jpeg

BS and I are TR players, but we've always wondered what the fuss was about at Eggslut... it's just that the line has always been way too damn long to figure it out.... we walked across the street to Cosmo for the hell of it, and whaddaya know??? Short line!!! time to Slut it Up!

    IMG_9445.jpeg

    IMG_9447.jpeg

    IMG_9455.jpeg

Verdict: Eggslut makes a delicious breakfast sandwich! That said, if you wait a half hour when the line is damn near back around to the bathrooms, you're crazy. It's really good, but it ain't worth all that. I kind of feel like breakfast has its ceiling, especially quick service breakfast, and this is it.

Wandered around the new Cosmo food court to see what that was all about, we'll see you again latter, Hattie B....

    IMG_9449.jpeg

Feel like I should contact my lawyer for someone naming a joint after me. Piss off, Lardo.

In case you don't recall, I was very happy that my Falcons bet lost (Go Pokes!) and the Titans fucked up my parlay when they got steamrolled by the Colts... oh well... upward and onward!

I too prefer LUV over DFW, but can't get the wife to feel the same :(

On the bright side, Lardo is nicer than Lardass

So its always tough to decide where to watch a big game..... while i think the prices are reasonable and I'd be in, my crew doesn't want to shell out for premium seats at a packed book. But over the last couple years, BS and I have discovered that Interlude at the Cromwell is a kick ass place to watch a game. Nobody knows about it, they lower a big screen and put in on the game you want, have TVs all around, have drink specials, and Eatwell is around the corner.

    IMG_9462.jpeg

    Really, there's nobody else here

    56426267183__CBE54200-F287-4DBA-A424-68260C4D7FD3.jpg

We all know the Barbary Dogs are a game changer - the best deal on the strip - but don't sleep on Eatwell's tacos. Honestly, Eatwell is one of my favorite spots on the strip. Just feed me tacos and dogs and give me that dub and I'm happy. The fact that the gift shop had the 16 oz Coors on sale didn't hurt. Also, you want to feel like a king??? Send a text message and get food delivered from a place that's 30 yards away. Utterly decadent and completely unnecessary. God, The Cromwell is great.

    IMG_9459.jpeg

That early morning to meet up with BS and the boozy Cowboy win means it's time for a quick midday chill in the room..... welcome to the 29th floor at PH.

    IMG_9463.jpeg

Heart Throb isn't my favorite Lightling Link machine, but casual flipping one dollar into $79 ain't a bad ROI while passing through PH

    IMG_9465.jpeg

K casually ran into Kid from Kid n' Play at le Central at Paris.... crazy nice dude. Hope I love the 90s comes back and has a badass run.

    IMG_9467.jpeg

Afternoon recharge over, Cowboy win in pocket, half the cast of Class Act met, it's time to hit the criminally underrated Harrah's diamond lounge for a kickstart to the night.

So basically I've already hit my 15k for next year's Diamond, but I don't see myself hitting 25k this year, so I'm DL hopping right now since I most likely won't do that next year. I love the Paris DL. The bartenders are great, it's the only Diamond Lounge that carries Knob Creek, and every drink is a MF'ing double.

    IMG_9479.jpeg

See? Every drink's a double. It's awesome. And dangerous.

Seriously, what the hell, it's Darkman taking a piss at Paris. Seriously though, why is Paris the one place on the Strip that doesn't have dividers between the urinals. What's that about?? Anyway, off to leave this waterlogged crimefighter to his devices. (seriously, it was like 65 degrees out)

    IMG_9485.jpeg

    Hello gorgeous

    IMG_9488.jpeg

Quick $1 winner on Tiki Fire at PH before bed....

    IMG_9491.jpeg

Oh, and I also murdered two Earl sandwiches in the room.... that Thanksgiving sandwich felt right, and the horseradish prime rib can straight up get it

Woke up to see this guy with the worst job in the world hanging alongside the roof at PH..... what a hero. Hope those clean windows were worth it, brah.

    Early mornings at PH

    IMG_9511.jpeg

God I'm such a high roller it's absurd

    IMG_9512.jpeg

While waiting for people to wake up, threw a hundred through this bad boy... got a bonus game that had me picking briefcases on a screen.... it came down to two briefcases, between the Grand and the Bronze.... three people gathered around me to watch.... it was a big moment. And of course i hit the Bronze. Worst $22 I've ever won.

Here's to another parlay that completely fails

    IMG_9514.jpeg

This game was incredible. We ended up watching it in the PH Diamond Lounge and it was insane.... rowdy crowd, so much fun... I won the over and pushed the line for $190. Not the best, but I'll take it, Pat Mahomes.

    IMG_9515.jpeg

New VP bar at Bally's looks good. Still really dislike that generic ass casino, but it's a start.

    IMG_9516.jpeg

We headed over to Mesa Grill for lunch. I swear, that place always delivers. Goat cheese and peppers fundido.

    IMG_9525.jpeg

The spicy chicken and sweet potato hash is by God incredible.

    IMG_9524.jpeg

Got a nice win on Monopoly Millionaire on the way out the door of CP..... onward!

Count me in the group that thinks the LINQ updates are awesome.... I was a big fan of TAG, but The Book is legit. I just love the vibe of the LINQ and I'll play there as much as possible going forward. Place just suits my vibe.
    IMG_9522.jpeg

Nice touch on the VGK foosball table. Like I said... the LINQ is hitting all the right notes.

    IMG_9523.jpeg

Back to PH before the Chiefs/Rams showdown.... couple hours of VP at Center Bar

    IMG_9528.jpeg

Another underrated spot on the strip with great people watching and good bartenders.

    IMG_9529.jpeg

The DL had duck wontons and wings.... and one hell of a football game and free flowing booze. What a great vegas night.

Trash Can Nachos at Guy Fieri's at the LINQ are a gigantic hit every damn time.

    IMG_9570.jpeg

Prime Time Kobe Gouda Burger...it'll change your life if you let it

    IMG_9571.jpeg

Quick Wild Chuco Lightning Link hit while walking through the LINQ

    IMG_9552.jpeg

    I'm a proponent of Flavortown

    IMG_9555.jpeg

Quick walk to Mirage to cash in one of A's sports bets and show B a little more of the strip

    IMG_9556.jpeg

    the GOAT

    IMG_9569.jpeg

A quick parlay bet that Arizona would fuck up.... so close.

    IMG_9568.jpeg

Pass through the Dirty Bird DL.... it's so much shittier than all the other Diamond Lounges, but the staff is so great and the cookies so good.... I have a weird affinity for it

Last couple pictures were big wins at the Cromwell.... Dragon Link hit big, then I hit a $100 4OAK at the Cromwell bartop. I know Bonus Deluxe isn't the smartest game to play, but with my years of fruitless Royal hunting and hit and run style, I like hunting for hundreds.

Damn not sure how people are sleeping on this great report. Crazy pictures and awesome humor.

Love airport vs. DFW, not sure how anyone prefers big DFW over cozy Love and Southwest. We basically have the same deal in Houston with big international airport IAH and Hobby which is essentially Southwest. Hobby is way better.

You ran into Kid awesome, don’t think I’d recognize him if I saw him on the street.

Guy taking a piss might be an Orthodox Jew or something?
