So I take it this place is pretty remote? Was watching a video on YouTube where their craps bets are maxed at $500. That is fairly rare.

Wendover is about a 2-hour drive from Salt Lake City, and it's little more than salt flats in between.

I used to make the drive regularly when I was in school in SLC and learned to play craps there. It was a serious bargain at the time (1990s) - $1 minimums, and they'd run coupons for $20 rooms (with a free buffet) in the Utah newspapers.

Rooms are GREAT. Food is just OK. Gambling is pretty good. Absolutely nothing to do in Wendover but gamble though. As long as that's all you want to do, you'll love it.

I go to Wendover about once or twice a month so I’m pretty familiar. They have three or four large casinos and hotels besides the Peppermill. My favorite is the Montego Bay, and the other in the Peppermill Corp is the Rainbow. All are comparable with the gambling since they all belong to the same corporation. The other two hotel/casinos are the Nugget and the Red Garter both I have not frequented for at least two years because imo they’re pretty old and haven’t been upgraded in awhile. The Peppermill Corp has their own plane and frequently flies in customers from all over the western and some Midwest states so it’s quite busy especially on the weekends. They also own the Peppermill concert hall which has close to a thousand seating capacity and they regularly book popular entertainers, mostly country western singers and some pretty famous comedians and acts like Terry Fator which he has a home act at the Mirage in Vegas. Wendover is my Vegas outlet cuz Utah does not have legalized gambling, which probably saves me thousands because it’s a little over a two hour drive from where I live LOL. Besides, it makes Wendover a little more special when we go there.

Yeah it is dead during the week for the most part but weekends get pretty crowded. I can't speak towards the craps tables as I am strictly a video poker player but I visit about once a month so if you have any other questions fire away.

Go to Wendoverfun.com for information on charter flight/room packages. Depending on where you start from, a lot of packages for flight and 3 nights is $200 or less.
