I graduated from a University with over 10,000 students but no football team. So I adopted Penn State, been to many games and once hopped the fence at Beaver Stadium and ran across the field in the wee hours. Back in the day, the Pitt-Penn State rivalry was awesome and for many years was played the day after Thanksgiving. But as college football became a business, PSU went into the Big 10 and that game went away. However, in the last couple years, the game has been scheduled and the most recent matchup happened this past Saturday in Pittsburgh on a rain soaked 55 degree night. It was a close game for the first two quarters, but after halftime, it became a blowout with PSU capitalizing on each of Pitt’s mistakes. Late in the fourth quarter, PSU put in Sean Clifford, a Freshman QB, here is his first college pass.
