That's cool. I play at Tropicana and might actually go to Boomtown in NOLA, since I have friends there. Assume the Pinnacle MLife preferred partnership is out the window.

That's very interesting. L'auberge in Lake Charles is a Pinnacle casino. Wonder how this will effect things. They are pretty tight with comps now, wonder if they will loosen up. Also, I had no idea that Sam Houston Raceway right close to me was owned by the same people as M and Tropicana. I've actually never been there even though its very close because I always assumed they didn't have decent machines (if at all).

Excited to see Boyd come to the St. Louis market. We stopped going when Harrah's sold to Penn but we like the Ameristar property and Boyd taking it over is a plus.

Reading story now. Great news Belterra one of the better local river boats but I avoided them recently because of no Vegas Properties.

Pinnacle does NOT take care of it's regular customers at all at Ameristar. Comps have been dreadful since they took over a few years ago. Glad to see them go.

Hollywood (formerly Harrahs) comps very well compared to Ameristar.

Huh? Not sure what you are saying or who's post you are referring to. As part of this deal Penn will be selling off 4 of the properties to Boyd.

    Agree.
Pinnacle probably the worst big chain in terms of comps.

I used to think the same about Lauberge and then eventually I must have crossed some sort of threshold in terms of level of play and was contacted by a host. Very rarely have I not been able to get a room on a weekend. It’s not 100% but usually not a problem with a little warning. I’m betting the loose affiliation with MLIFE casinos will go away where you get offers and comps based on your mychoice play.

This should be interesting. I frequent Belterra and have no comp issues there, but have no experience with Boyd properties. My experience with Hollywood is limited. They have a racino near me which I visit very infrequently. I went to their Columbus, OH casino about a month after it opened. Table game minimums were way too high for my budget ($15-25), so I never went back.

Very cool! Boyd is picking up the Ameristar property in Kansas City. Could definitely see moving my play there.

You missed out - Belterra partnered with M life. Tier dictated number of nights + Freeplay amount.

Although Sam's Town in KC didn't last, I'm glad they picked up Ameristar. That's a nice property and fits the Boyd template well.

I enjoyed the old Sam's Town in KC. Played quite a bit there back in the day. Looking forward to seeing what changes Boyd might make to Ameristar. Lot of potential there.

I play at Ameristar in Black Hawk, CO alot.
Will be interesting to see how the Players Club will change, for the better or worse?

I wish Boyd would have bought this one too!

Boyd keeps on buying. Now they're buying Valley Forge Casino in PA.
