My flight from Cleveland to Vegas doesn't leave till about 10:30pm EST. So I wont be getting to Vegas till about midnight, if theres no delays! Could this be an issue with them canceling my room? I am booked on comp for four night on a Ceasars Halloween Party. Thanks!

Happened to me once when I arrived after 11pm on a Saturday. All they could do was give me a baller suite at PH, and a ride there. They wanted me to move back to Paris the next day, but I whined, and got to keep the suite at PH for all 5 nights. The good thing about CET, there are a lot of them. If they have to “walk” you, you’ll have a place to sleep.

ETA: You can log into your reservation and add “late arrival” in notes- won’t really matter if they oversell, but at least an overzealous desk agent won’t mark you as a no show.

I'd call and let them know. But they arent likely to turn you away. Just might cause issues with computers trying to auto-charge you a no-show fee or giving out the last of your preferred room type or something.

I believe a reservations person told me as long as I get there before 2am I'm good.... any time after that might be an issue they advised I call the front desk direct and explain to not shut out my reservation or ask if I can check in over the phone.

If you have a host contact them and ask them to preregister your room. I do this when I arrive in the morning or late at night. I’ll book the day before and because it’s preregistered they won’t cancel.

I regularly arrive after midnight and haven't had any issues. You can definitely call and let them know of your late arrival if you are concerned. Honestly, I've been upgraded to some nice rooms when I've checked in late and I assume it was because of availability.

SEMA, we'll see if we make it to the actual show this time...

I've always - not just Vegas - if arriving late, contacted the hotel and let them know that I would be rollin' in past the usual window. Risk reduction.

Could a mobile check in avoid this?

Online check in would be fine but you won’t get the upgrade that can happen if you’re late in. Just give a reservation note that it’s late check in and you’ll be fine. Most hotels don’t give the room away as you’re paying for it. If you are a no show you have to pay that first night anyway.

In a similar vein I sometimes book the previous night for early arrival if I’m getting a red eye and even that’s fine. Only wild card is if you have a suite or something they might upgrade someone in to it and downgrade you.

My last 2 flights were late getting in due to flight delays. Talking like 2 am late. I just called and told them. No issues at all and these were both holiday weekends.

Paris. I had to check-in very late, twice. And both time I didn‘t get my room category I was downgraded.

Talked to reservations line again and they said no issues.... maybe just call ahead that day to remind the front desk. I think if my flight leaves on time I'm good, delayed maybe some issues but doesn't sound likely. I just booked a standard two queen room so nothing special to worry about losing. As long as I have my two beds I'm happy. I'm guessing since it's booked under a premium offer (CP Halloween Bash) there more willing to offer upgrade if one is available.

I echo what a lot of people have said. It’s been many years since I did so, but I’ve frequently checked in, in the middle of the night with no problem. Last time that happened was at the Paris. I can’t really foresee an issue arriving late.

I have a trip in late October that I'll be checking in about 11:30PM. I asked for a specify room. I let my host know and she said she will make sure my room is ready and she has arranged limo pick-up.

On a side not, does anyone know if the pool is open in late October?

One thing I can tell you (before I was diamond) is I checked in after 10:30pm due to late arriving flights at Paris twice on Friday nights. Each time check in was a cluster and took well over an hour to wait in line. The check in kiosks also didn’t work on each occasion. Haven’t had check in that slow at any other strip casino before.
