    My Trip Report

1E51733C-D6C7-421E-85BD-8B9D0746BDAB.jpeg EEAEDF92-FD43-42CC-B1A6-AA8A4DA27388.jpeg EBB895C9-FB99-4A1F-B3E1-7C6F5CE7FD93.jpeg 962EDD53-B44D-4D4E-BF91-0482CD93EE68.jpeg 5C8800E1-7375-407D-A4C1-DCF1485022F7.jpeg This trip was for my best friend from Texas, and members of her family, and two friends of hers.

I came a night early, first four nights were at Paris.

Stayed here twenty years ago, much has changed!

Rooms are okay, woodwork beat up but had nice view of fountains.

It was also viewing the pool, and the music on saterday night went on at the Eiffel Tower until 4 am.
I mean super loud, I was on the 17th floor.

Casino was nice, still had the same feel!

Monamegabe was awesome, can’t beat service or view of fountains, highly recommend.

The first night at Bally’s, I couldn’t stop hitting, photos below.

Biggest complaint on Paris was housekeeping. If you sleep late as we do, you can’t just call down and ask for late afternoon service, they will knock at 10 am anyway.

After the third day, had to tell vip service office and they got it fixed I thought, but our last day they were still knocking while we slept.

Golden Nugget, my home away from home!
FYI, they have no resort fees for summer!

Great room in gold tower right in casino!

Mexican restaurant was seriously, the best I have ever had, as well as the frozen margaritas!

Slots were tight there this trip, and everyday it was super crowded.

Overall we had a blast but lost a lot.

A tip for travelers on southwest.

For return flight home, we have gone into the smoker lounge to play my favorite slot in Vegas.

It’s the dragon link with the budda, last trip I put twenty in and cashed out 269, this trip put twenty in and cashed 561.

I played the dollar denim this time at 5$ a spin.

Had three bonuses in ten minutes of you can stand the smell in there, it’s a loose slot.

Went to my gate and they weren’t boarding, so stuck a twenty in the five line $1 wheel of fortune, hit $150!

The cashier said the airport has the loosest slots in Vegas, I always heard otherwise, but now I will probably get there a little early lol

Another tip, both flight there and back, they said flight was almost full, so I went to the second from last window seat.

Both times got lucky, a man took the isle and we flew with the middle seat open, score!

Anyone with advice on ankle and feet swelling, it was worse this trip due to staying on the strip with more walking.

I hate to break down for a scooter rental but guess it’s coming!lol

Try an over the counter diuretic, such as Diurex. You can get it at Walgreens or CVS. Also, avoid putting any salt on your food, the stuff in Vegas restaurants probably has a lot already.

I've had this occur to me on cruises sometimes, and the Diurex/No Salt thing really makes a difference.

Zoey - my husband has a problem with swelling. It has gotten much better - I think it was a side effect of testosterone hormone replacement. My sister is a physical therapist and suggested compression pumps. We found some on Amazon for less than $100. He used them every day for a while. They made a huge difference. He uses them about once a week now. We plan on packing them to Vegas in August.

Regarding the pumps -- it worked better than the diuretic - Lasix - the doctor prescribed for my husband. He's now off the diuretic and does the pumps about once a week. He put them on the highest setting. It squeezes the bejeezus out of your legs -- forcing the fluid back into the circulatory system. He would elevate them on a couple of pillows and I'd put the pumps on. It is kind of a two man job to put them on correctly. Then it runs for 20 minutes. He only did it once a day. -- The literature recommends up to twice a day.

Sounds like a great trip. My ankles swell anytime that I fly now. Not sure how to calm it down other than drink lots of water and elevate those tootsies.

Good sneakers and flip flops after the swelling was to big to get my feet in the sneakers!lol
I think a winter trip when I can wear compression socks may be in order for the next trip
