Haha this is true. This one was worse because tape was involved lol.
Late breakfast at Terrace Pointe and pool time
I love the tower suites pools!
Yup, had that drink last year at Ocean One and man was it tasty!!
Great pool day today. I'm liking the water, fruit, and popsicles they pass around at the Tower Suites pool.
Doing dinner at Lavo complete with complimentary appetizers from both the waiter and the chef. I'll take it. Thanks.
Looks like a very relaxing day!
Finishing the day with trips to Brilliant and the Neon Boneyard.
A few of my favorites here. GN, Lady Luck, and Horseshoe are all from Brilliant.
Moulin Rouge sign was designed by the same lady who designed the Las Vegas sign. Moulin Rouge had interesting Civil Rights history.
Yucca sign is what's called skeleton neon - neon outlined on a painted background.
House of Lords is the steakhouse at Sahara frequented by the Rat Pack. They would invite random everyday people to come eat with them.
The lamp is from Aladdin, obviously. They call this the "fun" lamp because it steamed. And Liberace...I love that sign.
That Sahara sign wasn't on the Strip, it was on another street. To put it in perspective, the camel on the Strip sign was the size of this entire sign.
And the Hard Rock sign is the newest addition.
N enjoyed the two activities tonight. She's even more interested in the history of Vegas, now.
I did not know that. Thanks!
Nice photos. I've been to the boneyard during the day, but not night. I need to change that.
I love the night tours
What’s the best way to get tickets or time to go see the signs? My wife and I are thinking about doing it when we go.
We did it day of, but best is probably two days in advance. Better chance of getting combo tickets before they sell out. We buy on the website.
Great shots of "Brilliant"! Some of those signs really pop!
So today started out with some slots and Bailey's and coffee, then lunch at Tableau. I haven't been there in many years. I hope the giant salad made up for the carbfest this week. I'm toooootally sure it did.
N asked us to teach her how to gamble. I do believe she's developed a Quick Hits addiction. It's not my fault.
I played the most obnoxious slot I've ever seen. It was absolutely hilarious. And awful. C played and got a bonus which involved scratching records.
As you saw, I was able to meet up with @notfromconcentrate. He's a lot of fun.
After, dinner at Red 8. My dish was Taiwanese noodle style, apparently. Whatever it was, it was so good.
Then a quick walk across the street to TI and a showing of Mystere. N asked about Cirque shows and since MJ was dark and O requires planning in advance, we decided on Mystere. I haven't seen it in about 5 years so they've made a lot of changes since then. Still one of my favorites. Oh and we got moved up closer.
Here's some random pictures of the Tower Suites entrance. So pretty.
Your trip has looked amazing so far! Love that you hooked up with @notfromconcentrate!
Awesome stuff, thanks for sharing!
Great report. You really know how to do vacations!
Love Red 8 & Mystere. AND, really loving your report! How many hours/minutes was the nite tour of NEON?
Neon Boneyard tour is about an hr and Brilliant is about 30 min.
So back home now. We started the day with the Wynn Buffet. Well worth it and so much better than airport breakfast.
Took some parting pics of the view and the creepy head that appeared for the first time.
We Lyftbered successfully to the airport, but security was absolutely awful. Took almost an hour to get through for no reason. Made it to the gate as they were preboarding. N was already there because she's precheck.
Anyway, the flight was uneventful and made it to BWI 20 mins early. N made it home, I made it home, and C made it to her train in time and should be home in about 15 mins.
N is now hooked on Vegas (and Thunder ) so that was a job well done.
