    My Trip Report

    Hello all!

Just back from 4 nights at Paris with my buddy B and his gf M... had a fantastic time as always, and now that I've had a couple days to slowly recover, I'm gonna try and throw together a quick and dirty TR. I didn't plan on doing a TR this trip, so i didn't write anything or take pictures with that mindset, but I'm gonna, at the least, throw some photos up after the fact and maybe add a slight recap here and there. Onward and upward!

On board our Lyft after an uneventful flight via Southwest.... we're not in Kansas anymore.....

Immediately went to check in, and even though we were there by 9am, the Diamond Check in at Paris was awesome, got us both strip view Red Rooms (I have an affinity for those), and said they'd have them ready by 11am, all the while letting us just leave our bags in the Diamond room so we didn't have to mess with th bell desk. So, off to Mon Ami Gabi we went! B went with the bloody...

I hit the salmon benedict.... it was all awesome, and the weather was still nice and coll on the strip that early, which made the great view and people watching even better.

Got some small wins early killing some time on the slots, got a delicious mocha iced coffee from the coffee bar on the Paris casino floor (we were up by 3 Vegas time to catch the early flight in Texas) and our rooms were ready right on time. Amazing strip view from the 29th floor, standard red room, great start to the trip!

The night gets a little fuzzy.... hopped between two Diamond Lounges, loaded up on some heavy pours, played a little slots and a lot of VP... 1 4OAK between us (B's), but otherwise pretty well even... Two hooker conversations and about 20 drinks later, B and I (M was long asleep with a crepe from Le Creperie lovingly by her side) hit up Yong Kang Street about 2:30am - making it damn near a 24 hour day - and both got BBQ Pork fried rice and split about 7 different dim sum plates. All i know is that in that moment, it was the most delicious thing I had ever tasted. Time to pass out upstairs - good thing the elevators are like 10 steps from YKS!

I really dig how Paris has the separate elevator banks that only go to certain floors. These are some of the fastest ‘vators in Vegas for my money, I never waited more than a few seconds.

More small “keep sustaining it” hits, then some mimosas at Gustav’s to get the party going early.

    49145986-0FA5-4D24-95D6-B145961EE928.jpeg 8902A0F3-7573-4234-80C2-A30FDC76A1DF.jpeg

Lunch across the way at CP, hitting up Mesa once again. It always delivers - kept it simple this time, tiger shrimp sweet corn tamale cake and the Mesa burger with horseradish mustard.... awesome per usual.

Also, I’m still in love with the view from my room. Not sure why it and ol' Kronos (my good buddy) are showing up as attachments, but you get the idea.

Kicked off the evening in the Harrah’s DL to build the base layer of drunkenness... ran about $100 through the slots, not a lot of luck but picked up the QFR badge (I know it’s not worth much, but the quest is fun for us)...

Only at the dirty bird could Bugsy greet you at the pisser.... and I really enjoyed the new (at least to me) Flamingo neon at the exit to the LINQ Promenade

    D82437FF-12C4-4539-AC8B-E8CCA3966F76.jpeg C20954F4-0264-4BCC-BC9C-271CEAA8D186.jpeg D50F4AA6-4B5C-48B0-B5DC-5A6BBAA80BE6.jpeg

Another beautiful night on the LINQ Promenade!

    DB044074-FCAE-4BBE-BC89-19A98CC774DB.jpeg

B & M had to run and pick up their High Roller tix at the LINQ TR desk (which is now gone and combined with the Cashier)... so rather than wait awhile on the, I just threw a $20 in a bartop at O’Sheas to kill some time.... BOOM!

    9434EE46-8577-4D06-9826-C881B2DFC272.jpeg A92A6A06-E29A-4F77-B0C2-02F051F84CC9.jpeg

Got the HR tix, and a couple quick observations.... yeah, the LINQ is a mess. Hopefully the end result of Kind Heaven/FlyLINQ is worth it, but right now it’s half a casino. One thing seemingly unrelated to that construction that I noticed for the first time is the removal of the entire Diamond Registration room. The old concierge desk is gone, and the old diamond check in podiums are now the concierge. That whole space is full of Lightning/Dragon Link machines now, and the diamond check in is now a separate aisle (see carpet) at the main check in.

Always love the ‘roller happy hour car. Had another great bartender, the drinks were flying at record speed, and the views were as Vegas as it gets.

Wow - I'm disappointed about the Linq Diamond registration. They had a great little coffee machine where you could get flavored coffee, hot chocolate etc. Was very nice to stop in there walking up the Strip. A couple nice seats to sit and just relax and cool off at also.

Love that new neon at Flamingo!

Time to celebrate our independence with our greatest American patriot, Ben Gates.... DAFEE661-B692-4D22-B969-28AEC4B54136.jpeg

I’ve gone out to Vegas on the 4th each of the past four years, and it’s a blast. I didn’t get to see the big Caesars strip fireworks show this time, because the need to do it on the weekend made them do it a full five days early, but hey.... it was still a blast. Crazy outfits everywhere, red white and blue errything.

    1F0681B5-5F4F-493A-8732-55065E04E5D6.jpeg

a quick little win to head out the door to, then we were off to Cosmo, where we were GONNA finally try Eggslut, but even at noon, that line looked like something out of Disney World.... screw. that. Off to Holstein’s we went.

Holstein’s delivered per usual, and we were fat and happy rolling out. Played some at PH, and by this point, it’s all mind over matter.

Hit the PH DL - love that back room with the big TV - and enjoyed all the booze, duck pot stickers (never seen those there before), and being that we’re all big Texas Rangers fans (yes, even this year) it was awesome having our team’s game on the big screen.

Side note - I made 25k last year with that end of year offer they did, but B didn’t, so he’s a “low diamond”.... hate that term.... anyway, M was my “guest” in each DL we went to, and B would pay his 1k RCs. At PH, however, where the staff always seems a little bit younger and a lot more laid back, they didn’t say a single word, looked at his card, and let him in. No RCs taken! Score!

Have I mentioned how much I love the view from my room?

    FD56984B-E523-4970-B864-99EB1239DA5D.jpeg

First 4OAK of the night - PH Sports Bar. Boooooom.

Slots were hot at PH too, even for a low roller like this guy.

    87D92DCF-DEC1-46B6-BDD2-EB2731D7C385.jpeg

The second gem came at the Cromwell main bar, which I love. Love playing at the ‘Well.

    73761BBF-48E3-4948-AD1F-456196D5D15A.jpeg

and another at Bally’s.... not Sully’s, but the bar back by the Poker Room.

    A9A5FB39-D6ED-4FA7-AD0E-7BFECAFB5343.jpeg

And bringing it home with some lovely ladies back at Gay Paris. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Started the next day off with a breakfast crepe at La Creperie, my most sure fire quick service spot in Vegas. My god, this place always delivers to stupid levels.

    FB3FC4ED-33BB-4518-81A9-A7542BC08051.jpeg

M hadn’t really been up north on the strip before, so we took the walk up to Venetian first.... always impressive

And the fountains at Wynn, which were playing “Be Oue Guest” from BatB which was awesome.

We were craving Indian food, and based on where we were, the food court at Fashion Show did the trick....

Still love the leftovers of what TI used to be.... cmon guys, EMBRACE IT!

Finally, after that strip walk in 115 degrees, a mocha Frappuccino with an extra shot to cool me down before hitting the machines at Harrah’s.

Random gift shop in the LINQ promenade. Is this a legit sign from the Sahara?? I’m assuming so, why else would you go with the random R!?

Hit up Guy Fieri’s... we love the trash can nachos, and the turkey thanksgiving sandwich and motley que pork sandwich hit the spot

This loaded out of order and I’m lazy, but we flew over the Grand Canyon on the way home. Super cool.

One last run at the Paris DL... where every drink is a double and they have Knob Creek!

Hit up the Rio DL before getting our Quest 25 there... had a great time, seat right by the window. Good service, great drinks.

Thanks! Appreciate it! I know it was quick and dirty, but it was a great trip! My next trip in three weeks to CP is solo, I'll be more focused on that one :)
