Has anyone been to Par-A-Dice in Peoria, IL lately? I’ve been one time back in 2005/2006 and honestly don’t remember much about it. I will be in Peoria this weekend and wondered if it was worth the stop? I play mostly slots, some video poker.

Its an older riverboat, decent mix of old and new games. 4 floors of fun. Great if you aren't expecting anything super fancy. The hotel is new and renovated though.

I went a few times last year. Last visit was late summer 2018. Hotel is across parking lot from casino, short walk or continuesly running shuttles to and from. The hotel sells out regularly. There's also a Holiday Inn or something right across from it too. Casino is still the 4 floor setup (you enter the casino on the 2nd floor) It closes at 4am (6am on weekends?) opens at 8am. I play VP exclusively. Here's what I can tell you:

On the 2nd floor there is some $.25 & $1 progressives at the bar, best games I recall were quarters @ 9/5 DDB and dollars that were 9/6 DDB, I believe the progressive was on the quads too. If you are sitting at that bar, just to your right is the high limit area. There are 4 upright Game Kings that have $5 denomination full pay 9/6 JoB & 8/5 Bonus over there, the DW looks good at first glance, but upon looking closer it's the ~95% version, lol.

The third floor has some VP as well, most of it being $.25-$1 denominations, some STP, Spin Poker, etc as well, all being short pay as I recall. The 4th floor is where you'll find most of the VP and the Poker Room. Almost all the $1 VP up there has $1 8/5 BP (99.17) & Illinois Deuces (98.91). Short pay below $1 denominations and careful with the ones against the wall, I remember some being $1 7/5 BP, with $1 8/5 BP games right next to it. I know, short term may not matter much, but just pointing it out. All the stuff in the middle is decent at $1 level, including 4 machines with $1 9/6 DDB 4 way progressive. All Jacks or Better games (except those $5 machines in HL area) are 8/5 at best, even at $1 denom.

Steakhouse was excellent, buffet was good, the grill or what not (fast food type stuff) decent too. Rooms are basic, but clean & comfortable. Casino is well overdue for a renovation, but staff was pleasant, things were clean and we had fun all three trips. The casino floors aren't that big, the place can get slammed on the weekends and it's a zoo around that bar on the 2nd floor. It's definitely nowhere near as nice as their Blue Chip property in Michigan City, but their VP and bounce back offers are (or at least were) way way way better. However, after Boyd made their changes to the slot club last August, I don't mess with them anymore. Have fun & good luck if you chose to return.
