Did my Friday rounding today including the Palms...here are a couple notes:
    1) Place wasn't busy at all, but still very hard to find a parking spot. They let all of the construction workers park in the first two outside lots near Flamingo.
    2) No entrance from the west side so you have to walk in the Palms driveway, with a fence and narrow two-way traffic.
    3) Walked in the first west side entrance I could and it was very hot...I thought it was just blowers as you walk in the door, but the west side of the casino was so hot I went to the east side. I asked the waitress about it and she said everyone is complaining and suggested I go east. (there it was relatively cool).
    4) The new BBQ place opened a few weeks ago. Looks like they are still working on the patio as there were workman and ladders all over. Also two buckets of tools outside the main entrance.
    5) Still somewhat noisy on the west side of the casino with a lot of workers walking around.

I still don't think anyone would want to spend my time here and especially if you were coming into town for a vacation. They have a long way to go.

Funny, I stopped in there between Christmas and New Years to do a coupon run and I had just the opposite reaction. The parking situation with all of the construction was a PITA but I did a quick valet. I hadn't been in the Palms for a while and I thought the improvements were beautiful. I also got my Palms/Stations card. I made Chairman in one day at Palace Station back in October -- playing Dragon Link for 12 hours and coming away a big winner/I got the GRAND! -- so I got my Palms Chairman's card, which looks cool. The buffet crowd was sizeable as if folks were enjoying it but not too crowded. I don't know what the rooms look like and I agree the construction suggests more work to do but I thought the casino itself looked beautiful. I'll be back for a quick stop in April or July when I do my 2019 coupon run.

Edited to add: I asked the person helping me at the rewards desk if he liked Palms being part of stations. It was interesting. He didn't comment on how the place was run but really liked the change as he said some of the benefits, like insurance, were better as he now works for a much bigger company.

I was in there also in December and I agree with you, tho I don’t know what PITA means.parking in the garage was not an issue at all, nor was the heat in the casino! The place on a weekday afternoon was kinda busy but not to bad. I agree there was a lot of construction stuff around but it didn’t bother me at all. I’m also planning on going back in April, kinda wish I’d get some free room offers from them. The remodeling looks like it’s gonna be pretty nice....

PITA means pain in the ass.

I had been dividing my stays with 3 or 4 nights at Cosmo and 2 nights at Palms pre-construction. Really liked the changes I saw in October at Palms and new rooms look very nice but I haven't stayed since the construction started and think I will hold off until it is a little less chaotic. Still visit every trip though.

There's a walking tunnel from the west garage to the casino. Entrance is near the garage elevators. Other end is beside the food court.

The newly renovated rooms are beautiful. This was the Run of House room we had over Labor Day (the coffee maker is ours lol)...

The room looks lovely, comfy, elegant and functional. Hard to do all. Kudos to the Palms designer.
