Comps:
* Suite on the 44th floor with a decent, though not fabulous, view. overlooking the Venetian and big ferris wheel thingy. Some strip view.

* All lodging taxes and hi- speed wi-first etc..

* Two tickets for "An evening with Al Pacino"

* $250.00 in gambling money

I drive from New Mexico to the Palazzo . When I arrive, I tip the valet $5 or 10 bucks and politely ask him to choose a nice spot. At the check in desk, I tip the desk clerk $50.00 right up front. No hiding the money, no tricks, no expected favors. They ask if I need change, I reply "no thank you, that's your tip for doing a good job." They ask me the basics, how far from the elevator etc etc and they always do their best to accommodate my desires. The bell hop gets $5.00 per bag and the maids get 10.00 to 20.00 a day. Waitresses get a couple dollar chips for a cup of coffee .

I play the $15.00 or $25.00 craps tables with maximum line and odds bets topped with $30.00 6&8. I budget approx $1,000.00 for daily craps. I can "usually" tip the dealers a hundred or two during the whole days worth of playing . (sometimes my daily allowance is lost in 30 minutes).

I didn't eat at restaurants on this trip, but in past trips, I have had my $200.00+ dinners and any other food charged to my room compd.

My wife enjoys the penny slots and if I am up on the last day, I always try to drop a couple hundred in the $10.00 machines just to say I did.

Actually a lot more fun than I describe it here but I'm not much of a writer

I really am treated very well there and always get whatever I ask for.

Always a good time Richard. We use to walk the the strip, hit downtown, see everything that there is to see etc... we're older now and I spend a lot of time in a wheelchair so we enjoy the pampering that the resort atmosphere offers. I forgot to mention the best comp that the Palazzo offers, a great big Walgreens right downstairs hahahaha.

You probably tipped more before checking in that i have in my entire lifetime

  • Back at it
Lol I treat people well when I can. It makes me feel good to help people.

We're going back in December and will enjoy 4 comp'd nights (Thursday thru Sunday) in a nice suite. Concierge is in the process of handling our dining and entertainment reservations. Not unusual for the dining to be comp'd upon check-out. I think they take very good care of us and I have no issues taking care of the staff. heck I tip the valet for parking the van and tip again when brings it back. :0)

I budget approx $1,000.00 for daily craps... (sometimes my daily allowance is lost in 30 minutes).
After that 30 minutes...what then?
I've budgeted $1000 for craps, on a $10 table playing 345x odds and $12 6/8, and have seldom lasted longer than 4 hours...
details, details :)
