Looking for hotel/casino en route from McCarran to Death Valley and leaning towards Pahrump. Any insight on the properties there? Most interested in properties with hotel - size of casino, dining options, room quality - and any other local knowledge that might be helpful.

IIRC the only thing of any size or scale is the Pahrump Nugget, and that's tiny by LV standards.

I've never stayed there, but know a couple who did one night and described it as being very OK.

I've eaten there a few times and the coffee shop is surprisingly good.

I would like to bump this thread to see if any new information about Pahrump hotels are out there. I'm thinking about a summer trip myself to Pahrump. On hotels dot com Pahrump nugget has $59 room rates Sunday thru Thursdays. Another place called Saddle West has even cheaper rooms at $39. There is a Holiday Inn Express but they have $119 rates, no thanks. I would be driving from Los Angeles which is about a 4.5 hour drive.

OP: If you're heading to Death Valley, there is a decent hotel with a casino in Beatty, NV. A great way to do the trip is to overnight there.
