Our count down meter has reached 1 plus day and we are good to go. Since our September trip, Ann has recovered from the swine flue and I have had my seasonal flu shot. Ann is almost packed and I have my coupons set aside. Our dance card is full, but I have provided enough flexibility so we can go with the flow without being swamped. We will soon be settled in at the Eastside Cannery for the duration. Nice room, good video poker pay tables, but a lousy location so I anticipate making twice daily cross town excursions for food, beverage and entertainment. Shows - no blockbusters on this trip, but Voices (now only Lani's Voice), Sonny Turner (former lead singer for about 15 minutes of the Platters), and Matsuri are on our agenda. Lounge Acts - Motown, Blues, R&B, jazz and lots of country. Restaurants - BBQ, Chinese, Cuban, Greek, Indian, Mexican, seafood (2) steakhouses (3) and Vietnamese. Sightseeing - Bellagio, National Scenic Byway, Chihuly, FSE and numerous Christmas displays. Extra curricular - celebrate both Ann's birthday and the holiday season with multiple egg nogs at Ellis Island.
