Another place to visit when I'm up at the Orleans next. This looks like it is in walking distance. Google maps say it takes ten minutes to walk it, just West on Tropicana and turn left at Decatur. http://www.yelp.com/biz/international-marketplace-las-vegas-2
Thanks for posting this, Dewey. I will make a stop here on my next trip. My only hesitation is that I could buy so much, I'd have to ship a box home. I am very curious.
I stay at the Orleans a few times a year and I walked there once. I thought I could pick up a few snacks. Most of the inventory is Oriental foods in bulk and the place smelled strongly of fish. I don't want to stop you from going but I did not think it was worth it. I go to Walgreens or 7-11 for snacks when I stay at the Orleans. Both are only 10 minutes away
My wife and I have been to the International Market about 10 times. We travel to Europe every year so we like to pick things up that we have had over there. We find it interesting. It smells like fish because of the fresh fish section in the back. I think its worth a trip.
Cool post Dewey. Actually, The Orleans is going to be my next stop in Vegas. I'll check it out. By the way, I like your Vegas Adventures site!!!
I usually walk to Smiths or Fresh and easy when staying at Orleans . Im going to look for this one. Thanks Dewey.
Neat place, can be very hectic inside. Prices are a bit higher for non-members, but still reasonable. It's good for odds and ends, and general browsing. Not good for stocking up for trip essentials.
