Same. Think it was April 2011 for me. I think it was still there when I went in May 2012 but not 100%.

I definitely liked it for a change of pace from the Strip. I was younger then and it was a good party spot.

Santos used to bartend at the VP bank about halfway back. The frozen Bailey's came in about a six ounce cup back then. My wife and I would always get a Jameson's shot floated on top. Good stuff! Santos now bartends at Flamingo.

I saw him pouring shots for ladies maybe a year and a half ago. At night he is in the costume, but during the day he walks around in an O'Sheas polo with Manager tag on it.

And I miss playing craps with my feet outside the building back in the day. I only got there twice before the redesign though. I do still enjoy the current O'Sheas, but it isn't as off the wall crazy like the original.

Only the name is the same. I really loved the old O’Shea’s. It’s not even a placed I gambled much at. But it was cheesy with the giant slot machine on the street. Always would stop in for a beer and play some VP and people watch. I can’t even go into O’sheas Now. To me it was places like that made Las Vegas so cool. I miss those days but really glad I experienced it.

You all nailed it! The thing that made O'Shea's great back years ago was the whole vibe of the place and the atmosphere...that's just gone now and it feels like a themed area...
