On March 14 I purchased $200+ in chips in order to qualify for Level 3 / 90 day period to book Wynn rooms for my upcoming Vegas trips in April and late May, with the ability to then make a third room reservation for my final trip of the season next October.

However, due to Covid-19, this 90 day period{March 14-June 13} was effectively eliminated from March 17th to June 05th when Wynn finally re-opened, representing 80 lost days for booking and redeeming free room rewards. Wynn slots subsequently added 30 days to all player accounts back in late March, but this still leaves my PAID Level Tier 3 redemption period missing 50 days.

I've contacted Wynn Slots several times asking them to credit my PAID Tier 3 redemption period with these missing 50 days to book free rooms, but they have refused to do so which seems very unfair since I paid $200+ for a 90 day redemption period which I haven't received through no fault of my own.

Question: Do you think I have grounds to request and receive a refund for these PAID chip package purchases by filing a complaint with my credit card company or the Apple app through which I made them?
I'm hardly the only player dealing with this same frustrating situation!?

My understanding is that all gems and bookings would be refunded and you could rebook cancelled reservations. But I do think you'll be out of luck with the "next October" booking unless you spend another $200. However, you might consider asking this question on the Wynn Slots Tips and Tricks Facebook group.

That Facebook group has turned into nothing but a bunch of haters. Anytime someones asks about a refund, that person is just absolutely crucified by the members of that group.

The Apple app doesn't give refunds for Wynn slots purchases unfortunately. If you want a refund, your only option is to do a chargeback with your CC. If you cite fraud as the reason for requesting the chargeback, you stand a good chance of getting your money back. If you start trying to explain that Wynn is being mean, you won't win.

Yes I've received the same email. But that's my point, it's only a promise and nobody has been able to re-book yet. As our current window comes to a close, we are forced with a choice. Either book the 2 nights that Level 3 currently allows us, or trust that Wynn will honor its pledge. Do you understand now?

You've paid for a chip package and you got the chips so there is no ground for a complaint because you received what you've bought.

Obviously the reason you've bought chips is beacause you want to book a room/buffet, but you've bought chips and that iswhat you've received

Yeah, this would be exactly what the Wynn Slots people would try to argue to weasel rest out of legal liability, and odds are pretty good that they would lose if their whole scheme went to court. Wynn Slots knows full well what they sell, and what benefits they suggest people should expect, and then tries to find one way or another to pull the rig out from under people. It’s quite unfortunate - Wynn (the casino) has a good rep that the Wynn Slots crew takes advantage of :nono:

Yes, I did receive the chips, BUT under the new Wynn Slots tier model where Level 3 is now required to book rooms, I paid $200+ to also receive the required VIP Points needed to book free rooms over the promised 90 day period. However, due to Covid-19 and through no fault of my own I have obviously not received anywhere near this promised 90 day period which I paid considerable money to receive!

I've had this argument many times before. There are a group of people here who have no sympathy and will tell you that you bought chips, you received the chips, end of story. They will also cite the terms that Wynn can change the rules of the game at any time they want.

Good news for you is you to don't have to convince that group. If you really want to get your money back, simply file a chargeback with your CC and cite the reason of either 1) goods were not received or 2) fraud. I would recommend option #1 as it's a little more straight forward.
