One or more hotels for you?

I love to try staying at different casino/hotels. So, if I go for a longer trip, I don't mind changing hotels.
Several times I have stayed at 3 hotels on one trip lasting anywhere from 7 to 11 days. Of course, I like
to shop around and get the very best deal possible.

How about you? Do you mind switching hotels, and what is the most on one trip you have stayed at?

Personally, I would like to stay at one hotel. However, am going to switch on my next trip due to costs as well.
I hate paying for hotel rooms enough to stay 3 nights at GN, then walk with my bag down to the D.
200 bucks is enough to merit the change for a low roller like me.

But if cost were not an issue, I would much rather stay in one hotel.

I will jump through whatever hoops necessary in order not to waste money on a room. Because most of my comps are 2-3 nights and my trips are usually 14-20 days that means a lot of jumping around. For me, it just adds adventure to the long trip. Also, I have a car and only a carry-on bag. Moving to a new hotel at noon only takes an hour.

I like different hotels, in different locations, trips are usually 8 to 10 nights.

We stay for six nights. Wouldn't even consider changing hotel, even if our six nights weren't comped. It's just too much darned trouble and time consuming. Once I'm settled in my room I'm there to stay!

Our holiday is usually 10 days. First few times we were 1 hotel for the full stay.

Last time we wanted to mix it up and stayed at 3 different hotels Bellagio/Palms Place and Sam's Town and loved going to different areas. Now we are getting comps so we will be mixing them up again to stay on the radar.

I don't typically stay longer than 4 days so one hotel always works fine for me.

I will move if my trip is longer than my comped room nights.
Last summer, I booked two, two-night room comps for a 3 night trip... this worked out great, because I had a concert I was going to at that bowling alley/bar/club/concert place behind Linq... so I stayed two nights at Gold Coast - arrival night + concert night.
The next morning, I left for downtown and checked-in for two nights at the Fremont...only slept one night, but I had an evening flight home, so didn't have to check out "early" (as I would have on a one-night 'stay') or arrange for late check-out...

Another trip, my flight home was cancelled, as were all flights into Dallas & DFW, due to an ice-storm... this "forced" me to stay an extra night in Vegas (awwww :( ) ... but I had no room booked & it was a Friday night.
So, I walked over to the Golden Gate and asked them if they'd comp me a room for one night.
Not only did they give me Friday night, they told me they could include Saturday night as well... which I accepted, not knowing whether Dallas airports would be 'open' on Saturday or not.

If it's longer than 3 days I don't mind staying at 2 different hotels. I haven't done it recently but I've had a lot of trips where i stayed at 2 different properties.

Same reasoning here. Mixing it up makes it easier to explore other parts of Vegas as well. Sometimes when you're in one casino, you kinda just coup up in there.

Same philosophy with me. We've been staying half of the vacation at a cheaper place, and the other half at a more upscale place. Did this for the first time last year in December and thought it was fun to do.

I prefer staying at 1 hotel regardless of the length of stay, but have changed rooms in the past. Over Thanksgiving 2015, we stayed at MGM for two nights (comped) and moved to Caesars for two nights (comped). The day we switched, we walked over 10 miles. I think picking two huge properties for the same trip was a bad idea! This coming trip, we're going for a tech conference, but I wanted to add a couple nights on the front end, so we're doing 2 nights at Paris - haven't stayed there, so we're giving it a shot - and 4 nights at Palazzo. I know there's really no comparison, but given that Paris is comped and Palazzo would be over $800 for a Sat/Sun, I'll take the two nights comped at Paris.

We decided a couple years ago that we wanted to stay at different places just to see what each was like, so that's how we settled on Paris for the extra nights this trip.

I don't like to switch because it messes up the pool day with the check-out being 11:00 am, if you can't check in to the next place right away. I would definitely do it if I was on a long trip.

I have switched though to save costs, last time stayed at Linq 3 nights and Encore 2. If the first hotel is super cheap, sometimes I will book the room for the switch day (overlapping) so I can check out later afternoon, just so I have a room.

One time had to do reverse, ugh - stayed at Palazzo, but the Friday night rate was outrageous so booked Casino Royale for Friday. Wasn't worth taking a cab so we rolled out suitcases there down the strip - our Schlep of Shame.

I take short trips, so I prefer to keep to one "home base" for the duration. Once settled in, I'm good to go.
