Last trip we stayed 4 nights in 3 hotels which was a bit much but really liked the variety.,

Staying another four nights and want to do just one night in a different hotel.

Aria would give us nice access to well....Aria but also quick access to Cosmo, Bellagio and Park MGM.
Mirage would give us access to Mirage and TI and others in that area.
    No interest in the pool.
Looking for a basic room or maybe one possibly two levels up from basic.

Between Mirage and Aria, which would you choose and why?
    Also, which room?

Aria for sure. I just stayed at Mirage and found it unremarkable. Nothing bad but nothing great. I had expected more.
Aria basic rooms are nice but if you want better upgrade to one of the Tower panoramic suites or even better into the Sky Suites.

    Aria, for sure.

Great property, wonderful food options, and superb location.

Aria, hands down. I like Mirage's general vibe better but you can't beat the food/bev options at Aria and the rooms are on a different level too. Have zero luck there though so I would gamble elsewhere, but your results may vary.

    Aria.

    A) Floor-to-ceiling windows. Much nicer basic rooms, between the two.

    B) Surpisingly, Aria has by far treated us best out of all of MLIFE, even though, as a mid-roller, I shouldn't even be on their radar. They always give us strong direct offers, and they have always treated us great on every trip. (Example: Like a dumbbutt, I broke a tablet on one trip; it slid off the bed. Even though I was in the BLACK on play, they refunded the broken tablet charge once they realized I had reported the damage, and they realized that I hadn't been trying to hide it from them. Classy on their end!!!!) So Aria also wins on rooms AND on customer service in my book.

Mirage? Had a much, much more "burn and turn" approach for us. Where Aria always makes us feel welcome, we had the polar opposite experience at Mirage. It's a beautiful hotel, but not right for us. But our experience could be isolated...many have had great service at Mirage, and it is iconic, so I'm still glad we at least gave it a shot.

Both have attributes. I say try both on two separate trips and see which YOU like best :woohoo:

(Edited...trimmed out the experiences at Mirage that bugged us, since those won't really affect you if it's only one night.)

I'm not even a big fan of Aria's, but would still choose Aria, for location alone. Standard room at Aria will be far better as well.

All things being equal, Aria no questions.

But since all things are not equal, lets chat!

Where else are you staying? Since you like to move around for variety, if your first hotel is near Aria/Park MGM area, maybe moving farther down the Strip would be a nice change of pace.

Are you paying for a room? Mirage might be half the cost of Aria.

What do you like to do? If you like to shop, like a normal person, you are close to the Fashion Show mall at Mirage. You are right next door (literally feet away) from the entrance to the Forum Shops. And right across the street from the Venetian shops. Flip that around, if you like fancy high fashion, Aria leads you right into Crystals. That mall is not for everyone, but maybe it is for you.

Are you looking for other leisure activities? .Mirage has the Siegfried and Roy Secret Gardens. Aria has easy access to the Bellagio Gardens and their art museum.

Are you a foodie? The dining options at Aria kill those at Mirage. Do you eat cheap? Mirage has better cheap eats than Aria.

I can go on, but lets start here and turn this thread around!

I like the slot selection at Aria. But Mirage is connected to Treasure Island where I do better on the slots. And they offer better table games there VS Aria.

I like that Aria walks me right into Park MGM and over to Bellagio (as well as a quick sneak through to Cosmo).

But I also like that Mirage gets me to Caesars with ease (and I like it there) as well as the tram right into ti (where I like ti play)

As properties go, Aria kills Mirage. As far as values go, Mirage beats Aria.

Another Aria vote. Easy choice. I’d be stunned if anyone gives you a Mirage vote, unless it’s nostalgia for the nineties, and Steve owned it then, and it was good. Even overcome with nostalgia it would be questionable advice now.

If there are substantial cost constraints, my vote might change, but only to conform to lower price.

We have stayed at both properties. Although we like the Mirage, Aria is just a better all around property. Better food options, better rooms, better casino!

    Hope this helps!

Grid pretty much summed it up, but if using myVegas points, the rooms for Mirage are way cheaper as well as the buffets. I'm in the minority in that I like the Mirage better and that's mainly because of what it is around that I also like, and it has a Blizz yogurt, lol

As a matter of economy of points and for cheaper eats, you might prefer Mirage.
