    My Trip Report

Went to AC for one night. One night at Caesars Palace and one night at my friends beach house in Point Pleasant. Left Morgantown with my buddy. We were meeting his brother in AC and every e was staying at Caesars Palace. We got checked into our rooms, both in the Forum Tower. Room was fine. No view and small bathroom but comfortable.

First stop is to check out the new sports book at Ballys. It’s pretty nice but we needed a drink so we headed to the bar in Wild Wild West. Grabbed a beer and headed to check out the games at Ballys. Found a $5 craps table and Ballys with 2 spots open and decided to wait for our 3rd guy at those two spot. We quickly found out why they were empty. The guy next to me had awful BO. The table was cold but we managed to hit a couple points each on our rolls. Other end of the table was full so it took a while to get back to us. When it did we both went on great rolls. When mine was done the pit critter told everyone to give me a hand, which was a first for me. We hadn’t eaten since breakfast in Morgantown and had several drinks at the table and we’re feeling it. We went to let our 3rd guy drop his stuff off in his brothers room and we needed to get food.

We walked down to Tropicana and ended up at Chickie and Pete’s. We had calimari, crab nachos and then each got a cheese steak. Just what we needed and probably just in time. After dinner we headed to the best damn sports bar and got some Red Bull and vodkas because we are old and all feeling tired despite it only being about 8. We decided to go check out Ocean next.

Ocean was great. Signed up for a players card. Side note: it didn’t help us but we saw they are tier matching at ocean for the month of December. Even my lowly Platinum level at CET would have been upgraded to Gold with ocean but alas, we were a day early. Used our free play and then some of our own money at slots and then roulette. I played VP at then sports book and made some bets. Anyone know if you can login to see how much you gambled there? Are they sendnot no any offers or teaser offers out or anything and if so do they come email or regular? Spoiler alert, we really liked Ocean and would,Ike to go back.

We thought since we liked Top Golf in Vegas, we’d try the one here at Ocean. We went up around 11:30 and found out they closed at 1 or something so we grabbed a bay. I’ll type up that, the rest of the night and some final thoughts in another post.

It’s hard to beat Morgantown. The $5 craps was in the actual Ballys casino, not the WWW, around 4:30 on Friday. We played about an hour and a half and it was still $5 when we left.

The Top Golf at Ocean isn’t like the Top Golf in Vegas. It’s a screen and not an actual course. But instead of just golf you can play hockey and baseball. Both were really fun. We extended our time and played for an additional half hour. I really liked the Top Golf suite at Ocean but I wish you could hit the balls out in the water.

We caught a Lyft back to Ballys. We were going to turn in until we saw an empty Let it Ride table. We grabbed 3 seats and proceeded to get killed. When we get low on chips we all start playing blind so we don’t pull back and end up with less than enough to play a full hand. Eventually, we all start hitting when we are playing blind. Nothing big but no brainers without even really playing. On one hand, the dealer flipped up my cards showing a 9. Then slides one card over to reveal a second 9. And then the third card, and it’s a third 9. Dealt trip 9’s playing blind. We played a couple more hands and then we left. Made it back to the rooms around 2.

We woke up at 9 and grabbed a bagel at the coffee shop in the lobby of Caesars Palace. I set up an online sports betting account with Caesars. It took forever which I’ll detail in my wrap up. We got on the parkway and headed up to Point Pleasant to watch the games.

    Trip Notes:
    - The Forum Rower at Cesars Palace wasnt great but was comfortable.
    - I ended up breaking even gambling. Lost at slots and won at craps and let it ride. Ended up getting enough points to retain my Platinum status, which I didn’t think I’d be able to do.
    - We all really liked Ocean. It was by far the most crowded and most Vegas like casino. I’ll proablly stay there next trip.
    - The crowd in AC is pretty gritty. Not a lot of cheering or excitement going on and we had a couple great rolls at the craps table. It was just an overall weird vibe.
    - Top Golf Suite was a lot fun. Good prices and the food and drinks were good too.
    - Caesars sports betting app, ugh, it was rough. Ballys sports book couldn’t set it up. You have to go to CP cage. They didn’t know either. The app you need isn’t available when you search in the App Store. You have to go to the website to download the app. Then you have to use a phone located at the right of the cage and tell them your name, answer your security questions and then tell them how much you want to deposit. Then you can go to the cage and make your deposit but they have to make 2 more phone calls. The whole thing took 40 minutes at least. I would have felt bad for wasting the other two guys time until my friends brother forgot where he parked and we spend 20 minutes looking for his car In the CP garage haha.
    - Chickie and Pete’s at the Tropicana was really good. I’d never eaten there before but I really liked it.
    - It was my first trip to AC in a couple years. I’m looking forward to heading back sooner rather than later.

Ha Ha, Morgantown. My frat at Pitt used to organize 'road trips' down to a whore house in Morgantown each semester...pledges had to go. I weasled my way out of it...that kind of runs shivers through my body. I did get down to one WVU game one year.
    In AC...
If you get an offer from Ocean Casino, take them up on it. Nicest rooms in AC...better than Borgata.
Caesars in AC is just Caesars...not Caesars Palace. There's only one Caesars Palace and that's in LV. Caesars in AC is just an alright property, nothing special. Harrah's is the nicest CET property in AC. If you do stay in Caesars-AC again, ask for the Centurion Tower which has the nicest rooms. Bally's is the best place to get cheap gaming.

Thanks for the write up, I always enjoy an AC trip report to see it through the eyes of others. Congrats on the break even and the Let It Ride luck, that is a win my book. It sounds like you had a good time if you’re thinking of returning in the future. The summers are great, there are several beach bars and you will likely get a midweek comp or a reduced rate.

Next time check out Tony Luke’s at Tropicana, they make a great cheesesteak and a better roast pork Italian. Too bad you had a hard time with the Caesars betting app. When you mentioned going to Point Pleasant, I almost thought you were going striper fishing, haha.
