    My Trip Report

Well, 24 hours before my first trip for 2019 "silly season" as I like to call it.

I am using a myVegas award that for 3,000,000 LPs (Loyalty Points) I get 500,000 HGS (Holiday Gift Shoppe) points.

The myVegas award required a two night stay, but returning home Sunday was very expensive compared to coming home Monday morning, so I'm staying at the Luxor Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

I was very fortunate to get comp rooms for both event weekends. I will be using the myVegas award on the second "ballroom" weekend (December 6-9) before leaving for Asia the next day. That weekend I will be staying at Excalibur.

But, this TR is about this trip.

I will also be cashing in 191,000 GGWU (Great Gift Wrap Up) points.

In sticking with the strategy that I made early in the year, I will be getting as much at CET's GGWU in VISA gift cards. By my count, it should be $545.00 with 358 GGWU points left if I don't play any more this year.

mLife HGS points will be used (in part) to fund the Asia trip. I do have host gifts to buy and other Christmas gifts, so with the mLife HGS points, I will be getting gift cards, and about $1300 in FP this trip. I will be getting another 500,000 on December 6th

On Saturday, I am having lunch at Ma Gal Korean BBQ with Pebbles and her S.O., and Jason, my local friend.

As far as the rest of the meals go, since this is a solo trip, I have several options:

My stay might come with $100 food, but it wasn't clear from my existing reservation. I guess I'll find out when I get there.

Comps (play "required" unless I want to jeopardize future offers)
    $100 Andiamo's (the D)
    $50 Steakhouse or buffet (Silverton)
    Buffet (M Resort)

    Comps (no play required)
Sunday dinner Buffet (Excalibur) myVegas comp
    Dinner Buffet (Luxor) myVegas comp
    Magnolia's (QQQQ)
Any CET restaurant ($1000 in RCs stored up)
Any mLife restaurant ($750 in mLife gift cards stored up)

Out of pocket (no play required)
Chubby Cattle (Mongolian Hot Pot) open late!!
Jerry's Nugget (rare prime rib "blackened")
    Hot and Juicy Crawfish
    Urban Crawfish
    Yakuza Sushi
    Sakana Sushi

The Twin Creeks Steakhouse at Silverton has a nice Prix Fixe meal for $40
    upload_2019-10-31_17-59-8.png

I might try it Friday night. I also have $75 in Free Play.

So, you know where I'll be in 24 hours. I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures and document everything.

    TTYL.

OK, so I finally got here. A+ standby failed me for the first time, but I met a familiar face. @FABismonte was in front of me trying to get A-list standby as well. We sat down and waited, but weren't able to get on the first flight, he went of to the guest lounge to get something to eat, and I stayed at the gate. (Wasn't worth it to walk to the other terminal.)

So, we both got on the next flight, but I had to check my bag because the overhead bins were full.

Landed and got my car, made it over to Luxor. I'm going downstairs to check out the HGS kiosks and then go to dinner.

I'm in the 25th floor of the Pyramid. Pictures tomorrow when it's light.

Well, not so bad for the first day.

I converted $700 FP into $692, and then went on to win an additional $300. I have $600 FP remaining for the next two days. I have already earned $1000, so if I can "make" $300 out of the next $600, I will have converted at 1:1.

I hit small bonuses on "The Flintstones"
    upload_2019-11-1_22-14-3.png
And a decent bonus on Sex and the City
    upload_2019-11-1_22-14-30.png
Up over $350, I decided to quit and go to dinner. Originally, I was going to go to Chubby Cattle, but I changed my mind and went to Sakana Sushi, and AYCE Sushi place next to the Target on Flamingo and S. Maryland Parkway.

    I had three servings
    upload_2019-11-1_22-16-50.png upload_2019-11-1_22-17-3.png
I also had a second serving of the first plate, except Uni (sea urchin) instead of the Yuzu Yellowtail.

Dinner was $30.00, very reasonable considering that I don't drink alcohol.

Stopped by Walgreens for a couple of Cokes and a bag of BBQ potato Chips.

10:20. Time for this old man to hit the sack. Tomorrow will be breakfast at Magnolia's and maybe some Silver Strike action.

I was right by the Target at Maryland Pkwy/Flamingo earlier today. I will have to look out for this place next time.

The morning was pretty uneventful. Got the car and went to Magnolia's for a quick bite. Lunch is at Ma Gal Korean BBQ with Pebbles, Tony, and Jason.

Breakfast was biscuits and gravy, and not worth taking a picture of, we all know what that looks like.

NOTE: Magnolia's validates for QQQQ parking.

Sat down to the $40 strike machine. Got three mixed 7s and cashed in $40 in Free Play, and with 15 credits ($0.25) left, got a yellow cap
    upload_2019-11-2_9-26-4.png
The "give up the machine after you get a yellow" rule was in place, and someone was indeed waiting, not that I had planned to play anymore.

So, I gave up the machine and got in the car. Where to go, where to go????? I decided to cruise out to Silverton and play some free play. I think I will eat dinner here Sunday night with my $50 Food Credit, and tonight will be Jerry's Nugget or the Excalibur Buffet. So, I got my cards and put in $50 of free Play on Buffalo Gold Revolution. About 6 sims in I got the bonus, and on the first spin it was "Free Spins". :(. Well, that soon changed. In the Free Play, I got 5 Buffalos X2 and bonuses of X2 and X3 for a total payout of $300 profit. I hightailed it out of there in a hurry, intending to go down to Searchlight, but realizing that it was 9AM, and lunch was at 11AM.

So, I went back to the room to type this update. Lunch and then to MGM afterwards to see if they have gift cards.

So, I'm up a little more, which makes the $600 in FP "expendable". I can even save it for the December trip and have $2300 in FP. Who knows??

    Talk to you this afternoon . . . .

Well, I tried to take a nap before lunch, but that didn't work. So much planning to do. I took a myVegas comp for Fri-Sat dinner at Excalibur, and it has to be used before 12/31/2019. On my next trip, I get in too late on Fridasy to use it and the next night is dinner at Mr Chow's with my Playstudios hosts.

So that leaves tonight or take a refund. Oh well, I guess I'll decide later.

So, this afternoon's "plan" after lunch is drive to Sahara or Westgate and buy a monorail ticket to:

1)Pay off a marker at Harrah's (the shortest walk to a monorail station is Harrahs or MGM Grand.
2)Take the monorail to MGM Grand and take care of gift card business there.

    I still have $600 in FP to use,,but then again, there's also tomorrow . . . .

OK, a little more on the rooms in the pyramid. The rooms are clean, spacious no refrigerator, and the mini bar is locked.
Note the slanted window at the end of the room
    upload_2019-11-2_10-8-21.png
    upload_2019-11-2_10-8-35.png
Bathrooms are standard, but they do have a shower with a full door.
    upload_2019-11-2_10-9-12.png
So, IMHO, the pluses and minuses of staying in the Pyramid.

    Here is the property map
    upload_2019-11-2_10-19-23.png

    Pluses
It is truly a unique experience, the inclinators (angled elevators are "interesting")
The further you are up, the shorter the walk to your room. (less rooms as you go up the pyramid)
    Rooms are spacious and clean.

    Minuses
    The inclinators are slow.
The elevators are in the corners of the property, and your room "bank", will determine which set of elevators you will walk to.
The rooms are "dated". If you need to have up to date everything, and modern surroundings, this may not be the hotel for you.

Summary, I have stayed in the Pyramid twice, and this has "sated" my curiosity.

OK, phone is almost fully charged, so I will go downstairs and pick up the car and take my "time" to get over to the Wynn.

Change in plans. Harrahs and Flamingo stations are temporarily closed due to the construction of the Caesars Convention center. Guess I'll drive to Harrahs and MGM Grand this afternoon.

I stayed at the Pyramid once and they had hot tubs in the room that I stayed in. That was pretty fun. For some reason, I love a good hot tub. Good luck on the second round of FP conversion. I am hoping you end up with a 2:1 FP conversion on that one.
