I assumed it was pool pieces. To the left of the structure on the webcam they unloaded some huge items which now looks like a raise platform compared to the right. They were concave so I assume they were something to do with a pool.

My view over the weekend of the new windows installed so far made me think back to the “old” Desert Inn with the color and shape of the glass.
    Coulda been the beer though.

    Hopefully, finally !!!

The first renderings showed the valet entrance at Ogden and Main. Of course, there will be big entrances on to Fremont — not sure if there will be an additional entrance on 1st street between Fremont and Ogden. Probably depends on whether the band stage that’s currently there stays? And there will be a pedestrian bridge connecting Circa to the new garage across Main.

Correct. I would imagine 3 big entrances if not 4.

Do you see the band stand that backs up to plaza remaining? It never looked completed the times I would walk by and it was sitting empty. It just doesn’t seem to fit unless it’s where you find the back door to the place.

Nope. That bandstand went up when Plaza withdrew from the Fremont Street Experience. Unless they want back in, it won't be coming down.

I would guess that it’s largely up to Circa/GG what happens to the bandstands. As it stands, there is one at both ends of their Fremont Street frontage — I would guess that they would prefer that one of the two go, probably the one at Main Street, which would seem to block easy passage between Circa and GG. But who knows.

Gawds, I hope this is the case. I hate that stage with a passion. Not quite as much as I hate the plastic bucket drummers, but damn close. And man were they ever out in full force this past weekend! I counted no less than 5 of those f'ers.

Problem is that the Main Street Stage is the landing platform for the upper Slotzilla ride.

I don't see the problem. Tear them both down.

I'm not big on the concerts to begin with but the stages on side streets next to Binions and The D make a ton more sense in terms of not totally borking pedestrian traffic and the classic views of Fremont Street.

As someone who has done the zip line a few times and like that kind of thing, I have to say it isn’t worth the giant ugly structures they require, so I would be happy to see them go. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did — nothing is forever in Vegas and it feels like that particular novelty should be right around its expiration date.

But I don’t think that relates to the Circa issue too much. You could remove the bandstand at Main Street and keep the zip line. It’s the big crowd at the bandstand that impedes movement in that area, not to mention the noise. Or turn the floor level of the structure into something else that’s not as much of an obstruction: a “golden gate” bar maybe? Anyway, it would still be better to have that location left open and not occupied by an eyesore.
