    My Trip Report

    Hi folks,

Longgggggg time since I've been here, and boy has some stuff changed. I spent years taking care of my father till his passing, which kept me away from normal shenanigans. taking a charter flight to laughlin, and gonna mix in a trip to vegas and three rounds of golf and dinner at Andiamo.

    I'm Baccck!

    Dave

Flight from ABE (Lehigh Valley PA) about 60% full, off plane right on bus to casino, immediately given keys, nice and smooth. Standard room in South tower, it appears to have been renovated somewhat recently, a very standard generic harrah's room.

Played some multi-strike poker , I love this game as you can play regular Jacks or better and have a shot with at a big hit without hitting a royal or some crazy hand with a kicker.
and turned 500 into 800, Hit quads twice on the 4x level which definitely in what you are playing for. so a nice start to the trip.

The bars were closed but service was good on the floor. I always feel at home at Harrah's Laughlin. My buddy played some quick hit and craps for a quick 300 profit.

Funny note, a person on our flight is a baccarat player, and her host booked this trip. I play baccarat also, but I know there is no baccarat in Laughlin, she wasnt too thrilled with her host, guess she'll be taking a side trip or two up the road.
Speaking of which we play gold tomorrow at Canyon Gate, a private club I have recip at. Then off to the D and Andiamo, I'll try to remember the pictures.

    Day two

Started with a little msp to pay for coffee then a cab ride to bullhead city to enterprise...they no longer pick up in Laughlin.

Rolled on to Vegas, my buddy had never had Del taco, and yes it is better than taco bell.

Golf at canyon gate country club, shot 105 and buddy shot 95, he would have done better if he heeded my everything breaks to the strip advice[IMG][IMG]

Then it was off to the D to get checked in, got a 25 match play and the 25 richard wilk match play, blackjack and freebet blackjack 15 and 25 minimum respectively, lost like 50. Buddy had to get a dollar cheque for his collection at DTG,. Bought in for three hundred couldn't hit anything thn in last come out rolls 5 straight horn bets. Buddy ended up hitting a yo on a 60 buck horn high for 324, he made like 400 I made about a hundred. Ordered a non alcoholic beer at DTG... clearly not something that happens often from the pic

The d pool is closed but guests can use binions, we took a quick swim and took in the view.

Got a chip from the cal...buddy didn't believe me when I said vegas was the sixth island... "Everyone is hawaiian".... Yuppers!!

Stopped at 4q and decided to get buddy a silver strike, we each put a 20 in and the silver strike cost 3 bucks.

Got the sigma derby t shirts...they are out of any normal sizes and hats.

Dinner at Andiamo, the great Hugo took care of us. Had Caesar salad, due to covid it's made in the kitchen...still good. I had scampi, Dan had the osso buco, his first time having veal. ...he's now spoiled. Pasta was great.

Up about 100 for the day 400 for trip and having a blast, more golf and back to Laughlin tomorrow

Morning, hot breakfast at McDonald's and went over to plaza to get silver strikes. They cost a little more but hit a good bonus on the cheeseburger machine to put me up 50 and a silver strike more golf coming[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

So golf, played like crap, dan improved to a 93 I regressed and shot 113, had a good time. Hit some pai gow tiles at Palace Station, couldn't hit a hand, the went to Sahara , like the way they have it setup there, made back 100 on the dice. Tonight back to Laughlin and dinner at the ranch steakhouse, and hopefully some royal flushes!

Took Christmas tree pass back to Laughlin, then I played msp for a while, up and down, but mostly down. Made 2500 tier credits so with the 5k bonus I'll be real close to diamond elite... My smart ass friend (the bald guy) says "you are so close to seven stars....) I'm like dude that's another 65k tier credits... I've had some good luck this year with 8k in royals, but 7stars is out. But elite with the airfare credits and nice vacation at atlantis, sounds good.

Was explaining the merits of individual progressive jackpots, and said "if I get three blazing sevens, I get the lower jackpot...and as I said it, it landed... And I finished my sentance....just like that.

The range steakhouse was great, lamb chops on point, as was the beet salad. Vegetable fettuccine not bad with lots of garlic. Made resos for Sunday.

So anyway, down about 1400 for the trip, golf tomorrow at Laughlin ranch.

Dinner last night was from El burro borracho at Harrah's laughlin, the street tacos were above passable to above avergage, and the guac was excellent. They cant do tableside service for covid reasons, but it was still some damn good guac. And of course free on reward credits always helps.
