Just had a rescue by a guard at the pool. A little boy was in a ring type floating thing. His dad looked away for mere seconds. The boy slipped and went underwater. The guard jumped off the stand and was in the water in a second...good job!

I remember reading that last year. And although there is no price tag on sentimental value, at least the person that did finally respond to you tried to make things right.

Hopefully you do well on your last night!

Holy cripes I need an intervention on perfumes. As soon as I saw the pic, Marc Jacobs, right?

And I LOVE "since my wife sleeps in later than I do." While I wish you weren't having to work (even by choice) I did grin. My hubs is an early riser too. Not all, but many of us gals love our beauty sleep... And our toiletries!

LOVE the trip report, and hope it's a magical trip!

...and all too soon, it is time to head to the airport.

I will finish up the report when we get home...

Nice TR.. thanks for sharing ... in July we have our Vegas trip and as of now we are planning to stay MGM and Aria skysuite:m; I do enjoy their service and love their lounge. Surprised to hear their pool was busy; every time we are there it’s really never busy and we like it that way. I do agree with their drinks service wife always complaints about non service when she plays slots but tables we always get serviced.

    0F0882FD-33C9-456A-8A8F-FD7BC2B5C947.jpeg Wrapping Up The Trip...

After pool time, we headed up to the room to get ready for dinner and, for the ladies, Celine Dion.

Headed over to Caesars and had a very nice meal at Gordon Ramsey's Pub. Our server was really good and everyone enjoyed their meals. My wife had fish & chips and the rest of us had Beef Wellington. I know...I should try something different, but I just enjoy that dish so much. We had a nice bottle of Tempranillo with dinner. It was a very nice meal with great service and at a relaxed pace. I like enjoying the meal at a slower pace (unless there is a time crunch); I always resist ordering entrees until after the appetizers arrive. If I am spending hundreds on dinner, I want it to last.

Took the ladies over to head in to see Celine. Once they were in the doors, we headed to the Mirage. Potential SIL thought it would be quickest to walk through the Forum Shops...no, not so much. After winding around and a wrong turn or two, we finally got out of there and got there. The reason we did not stay at Caesars was that their craps tables were $15 (full table) and $25 (not what the level we wanted to play). Mirage had $10 tables. Play was choppy at best and we hovered around $100 down and even for a while.

Then a guy in black comes to the table, takes a marker for $10,000, and proceeds to bet on the "Don't"... I understand the dice do not know he is there (or care!) or that we are there, but his appearance was followed by four straight "Point Seven Outs" and I was done with that table. Headed to another table that was just as choppy and proceeded to lose the rest of my buy-in. Had a good conversation with the box man (fellow Texan).

We headed back to Caesars, following a much more efficient route. The ladies came out after the concert and absolutely raved about how good it was. My wife thought it was better than the first time we saw her. They were very happy! I was glad it went so well. The cab line was huge, as usual after a show there. The Diamond card took care of that, and we were quickly on our way.

Back at the Aria, all of the craps tables were full. The youngsters went to meet potential SIL's cousin, who just happened to be staying at the Aria for a conference...he had posted a picture of the pool and she saw it on FB and texted him that she was there also.

I walked the craps tables and could not find a shoehorn to wedge me into a $10 table. After a bit, I decided to play $25. Bought in for $500 and proceeded to play it down to $100-$150. This is bad. My roll came. I have been alternating between rolling and passing the dice; this time I decided to roll--if I am going to go out badly, I might as well do it on this roll. I placed my $25 pass line bet, rolled a number and went from there...$30 on the 6/8 and $50 odds. I started hitting numbers and the table turned for whatever cosmic reason that happens (again, the dice do not know). I rolled for a while, and I am back above my buy-in. The biggest player at the table ($100 and $500 chips only) started hollering for the "Silver Fox"...and so did the rest of the table. Finally rolled the seven and was done, but the whole table had more chips in front of them.

The dice moved around the table, and green chips filled in one side of my spot on the rail. The dealer started paying with $100 chips. I set aside $500, then $500, and, finally, $1500 as stopping points. It was late and I was getting tired...and I did not want to lose back down below those levels as we went. All good things must come to and end...and I was out for... C0958156-2439-4F90-9C5F-C06818F41F6B.jpeg

Grabbed all the chips out of the room and I had most of the bankroll in hand. It wasn't a "winning trip" but it sure was a damned good one!

Soon it was morning, the limo, a flight home, and reality smacking us in the face...clothes to wash, animals to take care of, and a house not quite as well picked up as we like it to be.

It was a great trip! Thanks for coming along...until our next trip, I will be reading all those trip reports!

Really enjoyable read - thanks for sharing - It may not have been a winning trip but is always great to leave on a winning Craps session at least - especially when you go up in denomination, as it does get the heart racing a bit more!

I love those craps heaters, esp on the last day. That is the stuff that keeps us coming back. Glad you had a great trip, thanks for taking us along!

Averaging a 3-4 hours of sleep, at most, for the five days has led to a long recovery time...I am still a little tired three days later.

...but I wish I was back there again right now!

Great trip report. We are staying at Aria for the first time starting Wednesday and you've got me even more excited. I'm looking forward to some profitable sessions at the $10 craps tables.

For the earlier poster asking about comps, I am a similar player to Ronc with my wife gambling a bit less that his. I get 3-4 comp nights in regular rooms at the upper mLife spots and suites at the lower end ones. Mirage is my normal home base but this trip completes me staying at every mLife property in Vegas.

A lot of the trip report completed while we were in Vegas was done chilling out by the pool. I found that a good time to add to the report.

Good luck on your trip--I hope you can find the tables just when they go on a heater!
