When in Vegas my wife likes to wake me up early no matter how much i had to drink the night before.
This trip we have a rental and since we live on the East Coast, we is usually early is really really early in Vegas.
This means we will be driving to the casinos like Palms, Rio and others too like GVR probably around 3am Vegas time. Any concerns with being out and about off strip at that time?
Are the parking garages pretty safe?

I know there have been parking garage issues at Rio and Gold Coast. but that can be anytime of day.

I've stayed, and parked, at Palms, Rio and GVR and have come and go at all hours no problems. Palms has a lot of surface parking, you may not have to go into the garage. GVR has tons of surface parking. Rio has a small lot where the shuttles are, off of Valley View. I almost always find a spot there and then it's 30 seconds to walk in. But the Rio's parking garages are fine.

I would say 3am-7am is not the best time to visit some off-Strip places, driving or not.
If you two go together, that's much better.

I used to stay at the Palms religiously and I am always up at that hour. The only thing happening at 3am are people leaving ghostbar standing in the cab line waiting to go back to their hotel.

Gold Coast and Rio are pretty dead around that time. I can't tell you about GVR. But I don't see any reason not to feel safe as these are still major resorts and security is constant.

Anyone can do Palms, Rio, or GVR at 0300. I'll pay you $20 to visit the Big Horn or Lucky Club at 3:00 a.m. - your choice! My only request is that you sign a waiver, and that you report back on your experience, assuming you make it back.

I am not sure valet is open at 3AM, but I go to GVR 3-4AM every morning and park in the garage and have encountered no problems.

North Las Vegas. Maybe not quite as bad as Naked City (right behind the Stratosphere ), but same concept.
