October South Point Pre Trip Report

This pre-trip report will be more of a shout out to the VMB than anything else.

Several years ago we (Trophywife and the Kid) settled at the South Point for our annual visit to "the Mecca". The annual trip has become bi-annual mostly due to living in a very, very small town and having nothing else to spend our money on. The SP has treated us very well, full RFB and car service. We have had the same wonderful host for years now. We know and are remembered by many bartenders plus the security staff. The personal connection is what makes the SP special.

As to what VMB has done for us:

• Made us realize we are not freaks for loving, craving, and can't wait to go to Vegas again.
• Taught us how to use/work the comp system.
• Provided an education on "game odds". We now will not play any casino game that has a high house edge.
• Provided links for proper play of blackjack, VP and craps.
• Provided links to the best payback % of all VP machines in every casino and their locations.
• Eliminated the curiosity in properties and/or attractions that are rip-offs, gross or unsafe.

Because of VMB our level of play and winnings (or non-losing trips) has increased. We also now enjoy many of the finer things casinos have to offer, all from the directions provided on this site.

This trip for the first time we will invoke the "double book" and spend one of our nights downtown. Such an idea would have never occurred to me if not for the VMB. Trophywife is really looking forward to this. Happy wife, happy life.

In closing, this has been a shitty summer. In May I smashed my elbow, owed an addition amount to the IRS, the basement flooded (2nd time) costing $$$, Trophywife had an unexpected dental process. ($ don't even ask).
Anyhow, 3 plates, 11 screws, 4 months of rehab and a pile of overtime, here we are destined again!
