Since it's been a while since we visited Vegas in the fall months, can anyone tell me what the weather is like? We're always August visitors which imho is the best time to go. Hot dry heat at it's finest. Anywho, I just wanted a refresher update from actual visitors, or those who reside there who has 1st hand experience other than looking at temp maps...

    Thanks for your input

Best answers for weather are on two sites I use for travel. Getting info from others is only as valid as what "they remember". Might be good, might not.

Really, though - that is a good time of the year. Early Oct has highs in low 80's. Late Oct has highs in lower to mid 70's.

    or www.weather.com

And of course whatever happened for the past twenty years will be different this year - LOL!

ThAnk you for responding Nostress. I'll forward these 2 sites to some of The Vegas newbies who are meeting us out there as well. Hopefully they'll use it as a tool to navigate what clothes to bring:rolleyes:

My lovely wife and I have been visiting Las Vegas in the middle of October for many years - the weather is usually perfect. Warm days, cool nights and mornings, perfect for hiking Red Rock or Mt Charleston. Enjoy your trip!

    Nice and temperate. 60s-70s.
Sometimes showers but no biggie and over quickly.
October is my favorite month so I guess I'm a bit biased.

I'll echo the sentiment of the others - October is about as good as it gets weather wise. Obviously, YMMV, but generally speaking...

Cleveland has 60's & 70's in October. Would think Vegas would be warmer than that.

    You are welcome.

BUT and a big BUT - we always check the CURRENT forecast the day before we leave and adjust our packing. History and long range forecasts and what happened last year are often worthless. What happens the week we go matters.

And, of course the weather in the casinos is about the same year round.

Many Hawaii people who visit Vegas in October say the weather is just like Hawaii weather. Which is why October is a very popular month in Vegas for Hawaii visitors.

Not too hot. Not too cold. But just right.

Thanks again for the replies. I referred them to this board being that you guys always offer a mountain of information. Even searching thru post are helpful as well.

    Hopefully they'll take my advice.

I was in vegas one October and the temps were in the 100's. In fact, the temp at the top of Binions read 107. Another time I was there in November and it was in the 60's. It all depends on the weather. Normally it should be cool but not all the time.

October is probably the best time to go to Vegas. Temps in the high 60's or low 70's. Night low 60's. Glorious. I've seen people in everything from shorts to stocking caps.

I love Vegas in April and October, but I'm from the midwest. If you intend to spend quite a bit of time at the pool, there's a good chance temps will be too cool for that.

Oct is my favorite as well for Vegas weather, the wind can be the biggest wildcard. 2 years in a row we've had 40mph winds in October during our trips. Temps fabulous though.
