From my recent tip this New Year's. It's a great property, but VERY rough. And, they're looking to go higher end soon.

I missed the wear and tear like that in my hallways.
    That does look rough.
What are the panels laying on the floor? Could not figure it out.
When you say "they are looking to go higher end soon" ,what are you referring to?

I was on the 48th floor -- the top floor of the building, mind you. The object here is the towels / sheets sitting on the brown carpet. Unfortunately, you need to rotate your head with how these photos uploaded for some reason. The door was taken from a casino bathroom....in fact, most of the bathrooms were rough.

Regarding going higher end, they're looking to attract a more upscale-seeking gambler. The restaurants will be raising their prices soon, too.

LOL sorry about the confusion .I should have seen that .
Not sure how they are gonna attract bigger players.
They did recently upgrade all their BJ games by adding surrender.
Probably still rate Borgata's restaurant lineup better as of now.

I've had a meal at all their restaurants and they're all REALLY beautiful, but they're not close to Borgata. American Cut is hit or miss. I prefer Dolce and Amada on service and food quality. I've eaten at those two 4 times now and never grow tired. All that being said, looks like I'll stay with Harrah's for 2020. It's just way more fun.

I just saw this cross promotion between Ocean players club and Hippodrome and Wynn.

Ocean seems to be giving upgrades to customers’ players card. I’m a low roller and was upgraded to Gold despite limited play. My wife was upgraded to Platinum. Free parking now requires a Gold card or above.

I think this is great. A lot of us play a few weekends in AC and then reap the benefits when we take our Vegas vacations. With Borgata tied to the MGM Casinos and the CT connections, it didn't make too much sense to try to give Oceans a lot of love as it didn't translate into rewards one could use in Las vegas the way playing at many of the other casinos did. This changes things a lot. I wish they had this last year when I did a tier match to Ocean Black (which I let expire - I couldn't keep that level for too long), but hey, partnerships like this make things better for us in Jersey who go to Las Vegas, and maybe it will being some Wynn lovers to the beach here.

Yeah, pretty crazy how they were handing out upgraded cards. Feels like everyone is black now. Not sure what the idea was.

Especially because, without Tier credit bonuses, oceans points accrue rather slowly. I averaged 3 points per dollar on slots. This means that you need at least 45,000 in coin- in to get platinum -- which provides few benefits. I think that resort fees should be waived on platinum cards given the play requirement.

Otherwise, you need 225,000 coin in to get black... which, provides almost identical benefits to CET Diamond.

Honestly, for low rollers, CET is still the best

I was in Ocean last week. Asked at the Player's Club about the Wynn match and nobody knew what I was talking about. Even the head idiot said only match benefit was to the London casino. @hammie , thanks so much for posting. 2 free nights at Wynn LV was exactly what I needed to see to keep me happy playing at Ocean. (Well, that and 2 free cruises. Sweet). My usual play is to accumulate my 25,000 tier at Harrah's and then to hit Ocean but their offers are so good they're drawing me in from the start of the year.
Strange, as I was downgraded to Platinum in October and then moved back up to Black in November. They're still fine tuning their player's club.

If Ocean's had TC bonuses, I'd be so happy. As of now, it looks like gaming is the one way to earn TCs...unless I missed a section on the brochure
