    My Trip Report

I am a slot player, but I also enjoy playing Ultimate texas holdem and BJ switch. I know you true table players hate it. I just play them for fun.

Left BWI at 8am. BWI was busy. Most of the food places were open. Everyone was wearing masks.
My flight was uneventful except for the 20 something kid who wouldn't wear his mask and was told several times to cover his mouth and nose.

Valet parking is not available. There was a sign saying it was available for diamond and seven stars but it said it was full by friday afternoon. Check in was easy on Thursday but fri & sat was a mob scene. You have to go through a screening process and they check your temperature. I got a very nice check in girl. The agents to the left and right were not giving upgrades and they were charging for early checkin. I originally had a julius room, but asked for augustus fountain view. I was given an augustus strip view and she waived the early checkin fee.

As far as gambling, slots were pretty tight. Table limits were higher then I'm used to, but that was probably due to the holiday. It's also hard to get a spot with only 3 per table. The communication with the dealer was the biggest pain in the a**. You can't understand them, they can't understand you. They are all wearing masks and face shields, so trying to hear or understand them was very difficult. The casinos were very strict about the masks. If you lower them under your nose they will ask you to move them up. Some casinos have some games turned off...most of them are on but have only one chair so you have to move the chairs around. Drink service was awful at most of the casinos if you play slots, tables was ok, but slots, @CP I would sit for over 2 hours at the same slot on numerous days with no service. One waitress told me that had 1 waitress for the whole forum casino section. Paris wasn't much better, but I would see one about once an hour or so. 4Q no waitress for the floor.

For dining, we don't eat fancy or expensive. We ate at peppermill with only a 20 min wait, we ate at wahlburgers no wait, ellis island no wait, margaritaville 10 min wait, magnolias no wait, secret pizza no wait, in and out no wait....so it was about normal times for us. I cant say for the other restaurants.

Entertaiment - was slim choices, we went on high roller from an upgrade offer. They were loading every other pod, they wiped down after every ride. We went to cars with coffee at the shelby museum and won a shelby driving experience at speed vegas. My husband and I got to drive a 2020 shelby gt 500 3 laps each. I have found my lottery car when I win. We went to FSE on friday and it was a big cluster f*** they have fences up and are making people go through metal detectors to enter the main part which was causing lines into the street. Traffic to get to FSE was awful. It took us 45 mins to get there and 45 mins to get back from the road construction that is going on. It was so bad we decided not to go back on saturday to see the fireworks. Since we had a strip view, we opted to watch from our room. We had the 38th floor and it was cool watching the whole town of LV shoot off their illegal fireworks. For a town that it's illegal, there were plenty of them going off. We went to the neon museum, brilliant is really cool. They use cameras to make old signs to come back to life.

Overall, I feel like I will wait till ballys, Planet Hollywood, mirage are open and more entertainment opens up. For me, we had a great time, but the gaming was missing something.

Awesome win on the Shelby driving experience. It’s been a couple of years since I have visited the museum. I can’t wait to drive the new GT500 to compare to my Shelby. It is hard to imagine on how to get that much horsepower to the ground. Thanks for the report and I don’t think I would even plan a trip without Planet Hollywood open.

We had 7...two groups of 2 and one of 3..it looked like about 6 to 8 per pod. Each group grabbed a corner and stayed there.

Nice info on the Valet open for Diamond and 7*. Is this at the side valet or front main valet? Are you Diamond? Asking because they usually waive early check in at Diamond check in. Lame that they started really enforcing this pre shutdown.

The 7 star valet on Flamingo has never allowed diamond that I know of, but it was operating when I arrived shortly after noon on Thursday.

Thanks for bringing up Cars and Coffee. I had found out about that event last year and then had forgotten about it. Sounds like you guys had a really good time. I've made a note about it so we can check it out.

Thanks for the nice report. I also miss PH not being open. I don't understand why they wouldn't open it up, considering that PH attracts the younger demographic that Vegas will probably get right now. Wonder what the issue there is?
