NYNY is our homebase. I think we’ve stayed there around 10 times. We’ve always had good luck with a room fairly close to an elevator. The hallways can seem long due to the shape of the building. There are lots of twists and turns. The elevators tend to move fast getting to the upper floors.

This has been our homebase for years.
The Madison room is slightly bigger than the basic room, and a bit more comfortable.
Elevators have all seemed fine, and all towers have seemed fine. Sometimes the walk can be far to the room from the elevator, but not a big deal.
We just love the energy and service at NY NY.

When I stay there I try to avoid the Century tower as the elevators can get pretty crowded on that one. You may want to ask for a different tower. The standard rooms, Park and Madison are pretty similar, Madison's slightly larger but there's not much of a difference. The rooms are getting a bit long in the tooth but they're well maintained and in the 6 times I've stayed there have always been clean, quiet and comfortable. Love the casino there, great energy and always unpretentious and fun. Have done pretty well there on the slots over the years too. One of my favorite resorts on the strip.

We stay mostly at NYNY and I had the spa suite in November. From what I understand the Spa suites all face the back of the building, so you can see the arena and likely the pool too. In spite it not looking at the strip, it isn't a terrible view. Seems to me that the Marquis suite is just a bigger Spa Suite and I'm assuming the Marquis suite has strip views. We did employ the use of the jacuzzi tub each night and it was nice. It was big and deep too. I'm not a scientist so I don't know if this is by design or how the mirror reflections work but if you didn't face the TV you could watch it through the mirror and it would be normal viewing as in the view wasn't flipped so you could read any words on the screen. At any rate, the Spa suite was nice, clean and spacious. The decor is starting to wear down and just look out of style a bit, but that doesn't concern me much, as long as its clean, I'm fine.

If you want a higher floor, but a standard room, like Park Ave or Madison Ave then you may have to have the Century towers elevators. I've stayed on floors in the 20s in those rooms and used the Century towers elevators. When we had the spa suite we were only on floor 17, which was the highest floor on the New Yorker elevators. It was quicker to get to your room when walking off of the strip with the New Yorker elevators, assuming you didn't come in from the walkway.

So if you're going with a player's suite what do you ask for as far as some sort of upgrade? Or perhaps which tower to ask for? Never stayed here but looking forward to it...

Think I'm going to go with highest floor and closest to the elevator for the Player's Suite.

Have read that the best request at checkin for a standard room is as high as possible in the Chrysler tower. Supposed to ne the best combination of getting away from the roller coaster noise AND being as close as possible to elevators.
