So I will be heading to Vegas on Sept 23 for 4 nights. Got a deal for 2 or 3 comp nights (It's beer o'clock so I forgot which) with $100 food credit. All in cost is $247 (resort fee and taxes included).

Have a connect at TI. Pretty high roller, so could be a suite but at the very least all 4 nights comped. Not sure about resort fees.

It is me and another friend, mid 30s. We both like drinking (to excess). Tend to gamble too much too for that matter. Anyway...

Stateing the above is there a plus to TI or NYNY?

Go with TI. Resort frees should be comped.

TI has better gaming rules which is nice. But New York New York has a better atmosphere IMO.

    TI

There's nowhere to buy booze by NY NY anymore, TI has all kinds of places CVS, Walgreens, $1 beers at Casino Royale etc

I stayed at TI in March and NY NY in May so from my experience I would have to say TI. I love the northern part of the strip better so that factors into my preference. I will have to give NY NY the win on casino layout though. I had lots of fun at both!

I much prefer north Strip. I agree with TI for all the above stated reasons.

Haven't stayed at either in years but memory says TI. All other thing being equal, I prefer North Strip.

I'm at treasure Island and I love it. The casino is meh but the location and view of the strip is perfect. We got upgraded for free at check in to a corner panoramic view room overlooking the pool and the strip. Below is our view

TI for location, food options in and around the hotel, entertainment, gambling. Seems like a no brainer at this point.

With NYNY you are surrounded by plenty of other MGM properties if you happened to be concerned with specific Players Club cards.

Love the layout of NYNY. It's the shortest walk IMO from room to strip. Plus it was very quiet and clean.

In the days when I did stay on the Strip, I much preferred the northern part (TI) to the southern part (NYNY). Seems like more "riff-raff" hang down in the public areas of the southern part these days as well.

I can't speak to the rooms at TI never having stayed there but in terms of the "fun factor" of the resorts I'd go NYNY every time.

NY has a great atmosphere and it's small sized casino always has great energy but never feels cramped due to the high ceilings. TI feels old and worn out and generic to me, and from a food standpoint there's not much going on there. There aren't a ton of food options at NY but what there is is quite good (Gallagher's is awesome) and everything is open to the casino floor so again the energy is high.

I've stayed at NY 6 times now and while the rooms are certainly not "luxurious" I have never had one that wasn't clean, quiet and comfortable.

NYNY is definitely better for the social drinking atmosphere and fun, but the gaming rules tend to be better at TI. If I had to choose I'd probably go with TI, but that is just cause I've had a lot of fun playing and partying there over the years.

I feel NYNY is one of the best...simply.....and mostly friendly staff all around from restaurants, hotel, to the casino!
