Waiting. Close to 2 weeks from when you play. They make sure you come back if you want the FP.

They target the California weekend crowd.

I see. Not going to deter me, it still sounds like my dream place.

I have been there, after being personally invited by the owner, Francois.

Definitely not “divey”. I love “divey”, and I actively seek it out, and I’d actually say that Ichabod’s is about as “quaint locals bar with video poker” as it gets.

I have nothing but good things to say about the place, though here’s a pro/con for you...

Pros: Great staff, friendly crowd, awesome food, and apparently the paytables and bonuses are pretty good (I was brand new to video poker when I went). Live music there was great too. It’s also 24 hours for everything (food, gaming, drinks)

Cons: No draft beers (only bottled beer, wine, and liquor), and somewhat “rigid” comping system, where you only get one comp drink per $20 put into the machine

For cocktails, Palms was very good when we went back in September. They comped a cocktail just by putting a twenty in the machine, and then also comped another 50% on the next drink, with no new money in.

50%, wtf? I'm not paying half price for a drink either. If you played more would it have been fully comped? @breanna61 any idea???

I’ve never paid for a drink and yes, have been comped after I stopped playing because I’d been playing a while. The bartenders give me “a traveler” when I leave the bar. I think getting a second drink at half price when only running a $20 through is reasonable.
