    My Trip Report

I woke up about 3:30am for flight must have been the excitment. Wife and I left Rhode Island on 8:30 am flight to Vegas with stop over at Kansas City, with a virgin Vegas couple on SWA. I was in charge of all bookings, food, and entertainment. OHHH the pressure!!!!
We get bumped in KC(twice) Each couple gets $550.00 in vouchers. I'm having a good feeling about this trip already. We get in 2.5 hours later then planned. The delay kind of screwed up my sat nite plans but we can work around that.
We pick up the rental car at Dollar. 5 days for $88.00 on Destination.com that I found from link at Las Vegas Advisor web page. Get to the Plaza about 6pm and we are Starving. We get rooms and meet downstairs for prime rib at Plaza diner.
Our rooms were bumped up because they dropped the price of the standard rooms after we booked them. The manager also gave us free tics to the comedy show that we used at 9pm(12 midnite my time) that night. After show wife and I bopped around downtown other couple crashed. Finnaly went to bed around midnight. I'm working on 24 hrs no sleep, time to crash. You know how it is with us old foggies. tbc

davepri - The SW vouchers are a nice bonus. When I flew out of Vegas in July I gave up my original seat and took the next flight out. (Just about an hour later) Now I have a $250 voucher with SW to put toward the Spring-time guys weekend in Vegas! EASY MONEY! Sorry about the airport here in KC. It's a decent airport for us locals but it doesn't have much to offer the stranded traveler. The time most have crawled.

i just wish SW would let you use the voucher for the internet specials. i had one for over $304, but I could not get the Vegas flight that I can book on the internet for $225 unless I added over $80 to the voucher. That means it is really a $143 voucher. I just held on to it and used it for a fime when there were no internet specials available.

Thanks Dewey I was wondering about that. The guy at the counter said couldn't be used for internet i was wondering what kind of deal it relly was guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Dutch have to say i kind of like the design of the airport must have made it easy for people to go from gate to gate before 9/11 but now it is a pain to go through security every time you change gates, use bathrooms, or get a bite.
