Great report. I took that same pic at Wynn on our trip last month.
I'm right there with you on buffets JeJas, I really like certain ones too, even though I know many don't like buffets.
I love the variety on buffets, and not having to commit to one dish. The good ones also have great dishes that go beyond "the usual suspects". (Love Wicked Spoon's roasted bone marrow on good bread, and they had a killer creamy shrimp and grits for awhile. And I'm always a sucker for rare or med-rare roast beef or prime rib...)
I also love seeing what people get. I know it's dorky, but I always have to peek at others' plates....to see what they choose, how they arrange it, etc. What can I say, I am easily enterained.
Again, GREAT trip report, and I am so happy you came back on such a high note!
Awesome trip report and congrats on the win.
I also used to carry my DSLR but found it too cumbersome to include each trip as I was always taking the same pictures anyway.
As I was reading your trip report I was thinking I should start playing those JOB games at a dollar with Max Credit but then I continue reading and saw you lost your shirt most trips last year. I think I may just stick with those penny machines and low roll.
This is the kind of trip you will refer back to many years later to relive! Of course, you could always outdo this one in February...
Great trip report. Being up $8500 at the end of a Vegas trip? Let's see now, hell yeah that's a successful, super trip!!!
Thanks for the kind words.
It was for sure a good trip.
In 2017 I had just 2 winning trips.
The other 4 trips I lost my entire trip bankroll (~$3000) each time. In the end, they even out. Maybe I am up a bit for the year.
I had a Canon 5D2, now 5D4. I still carry it on trips to other places, but not Vegas, not anymore unless when I am serving as a tour guide to family & friends.
I also love the week right before Christmas, so I really enjoyed this. You had some amazing hits, congrats on banking a great win!
Wow, great trip.
But was the plan to play $1 VP for the whole trip on $800? I know I have lost $800 an hour many times. Or, did you just hit the ground running with that AWAK and never looked back?
Well, didn’t really plan to play that much with 800.
Yes we know 800 could be gone in minutes play $1/$2.
Thanks for the great TR, @JeJas!
I enjoyed it!
Not boring at all. Congrats on the winning trip!
Congrats!!! Hopefully, my trip next month will be a good one as well!!!
As a Vegas buffet expert, what was your opinion of the Silverton buffet? I've heard good things and am thinking about trying it next month.
I only ate there twice, one lunch, one dinner. Nothing special.
My impression is the quality and variety comparable to mid & lower end Boyd and Station buffets.
Good luck on your next trip!
I will be back later this month. less than 2 weeks to go. Can't wait.
Thanks. Sounds like it's probably not worth the drive.
