On my upcoming trip we are having a fancy dinner at Nobu. However I absolutely hate seafood, and am not a foodie at all. I looked at the menu and it looks like it was written in a foreign language. What would you recommend to someone who doesn't eat anything that lives in the water?

You're going to a world class seafood joint that is uber expensive but don't eat seafood?
Maybe run by White Castle and get a to go bag...

If you don't like fine dining and hate seafood, Nobu is probably the last place in Vegas you should have dinner.

It's famous for it's foodie type seafood, so maybe the restaurant isn't your best choice. There are things on the menu that aren't seafood. Like the artichoke salad. ;)

Here are a few things that aren't seafood on the menu. Kushiyaki is pretty much meat on a stick.

Joyce Farms Chicken 34
CAB Prime Beef Tenderloin 48
Beef Kushiyaki 15
Shrimp Kushiyaki 16
Vegetable Kushiyaki 10
Chicken Kushiyaki 13
Pork Belly Miso Kushiyaki 15

MEAT & POULTRY
CAB Prime Beef Tenderloin 48
Joyce Farms Chicken 34
Cascade Creek Lamb Chops 54

Or look at it as an opportunity to reach out, learn, explore.

(We did the Nobu omakase at Four Season's Lana'i last year and it was an amazingly special evening and experience.)

I was thinking the same thing however its where my friend picked to have her big birthday dinner. I'm not gonna say "oh sorry not gonna be there for your birthday cause I hate seafood"

Maybe another time but not in Vegas. With my luck I'd get sick and puke my guts out all trip.

Get the beef tenderloin. I tried it with the omakase (Caesars). While solid, it was my least favorite dish, but I love seafood and sushi. I had the sizzling Waygu Beef as part of a tasting menu (Hard Rock) and it was terrible.

Geez, some friend. I hope you don't hate roller coasters because I bet she has a surprise for you at NYNY... ;)

Seriously, though, it looks like Sonya posted some good options for you. Enjoy!!
