No wonder the Borgata is destroying CET in Atlantic City.

The Borgata in Atlantic City earns more per month than Harrah's AC and Caesars AC combined. And I think I know why.

For my upcoming weekend trip next month, the Borgata offered me a premium room for 1/2 the price Caesars was charging, two free buffets, a minimum of double the freeplay Caesars was offering me, plus I get all the discounts and freebies from MyVegas (like extra freeplay, gifts, 2 for 1 meal coupons, etc.) They also charge only $15/day for a resort fee instead of $25/day. The Borgata is also more luxurious than Caesars and offers better odds on slots. All this and I've only been giving the Borgata about 1/2 the amount of play I give CET.

At this point, the only reason I play with CET at all is because it is extremely easy to get lots of reward credits from them and I can get comp rooms in Vegas for play in AC (while the Borgata is not connected to any Vegas casinos). I know CET is undergoing bankruptcy, but things are going to get a lot worse for them unless they step up their offers and customer service.

No offense intended, but the Boyd properties in Vegas are not very impressive. If they had succeeded in building Echelon Place, that would have really been something, but as it stands right now, the Borgata is their very best property. I think they get about half their income as a company from it.

This. And they ought to fix it. I think the ship has sailed on a strip property but they should develop a definitive flagship property for Vegas somehow. Orleans doesn't cut it compared to what they have outside of Vegas.

The other day Borgata offered our friends here a choice of a Michael Kors wallet or $150 in slot play. She grabbed the wallet. Like I"ve said before, most of the people that live here and have bucks all hang out at the Borgata. A few exceptions, one couple I know bounce back and forth between the trop and the GN.

I loved the Borg when you could built up your comp dollars and use them in Vegas(MGM Props) and as previously posted is now only at Boyd. That changed and have been at CET AC since then. I love the Borg but a trip to vegas with my comp dollars is worth going CET. I like the staff at Caesars AC a lot always very friendly, with the rewards multiplier days it is pretty easy to build up a nice amount of rewards credits for use in vegas.

Borgata somehow knew about me from Vegas.
    I would get offers/discounts at Borgata -- I was a loyal Boyd / Vegas
    player for years.
They knew something about me - and i ain't no High Roller.
    So....something is connected.

I just got my April offers for Caesars and they cut my freeplay again. It's now 1/3 of what the Borgata is offering me. I have changed nothing about my play at all. Clearly, Caesars wants to see what they can get away with, so I need to nip this in the bud. CET is getting the silent treatment until my May convention trip and I'm taking all that money I was going to give them over the next two months and adding it to my Borgata bankroll for Piff the Magic Dragon weekend. Apparently, the Borgata wants it more (and the Borgata is a better casino anyway.)

It always amazes me that CET in AC expects me to drive 2 hours for a measley $5 FP while Borgata sends at least $20. DH is a much bigger player than I and even he gets only maybe $40 while Borgata offers $100. As far as gifts are concerned, we got the MK wallet and it is beautiful. OTOH, CET might send an offer for plastic bowls. NO COMPARISON. Borgata will get my money every time.

I love Borgata and would love to play there more often, but their VP game selection is not to my liking. They have very few 10-play multi-line options for higher than 25 cents.

Hmmm, you guys are making me really compelled to switch from CET. I typically stay at Ceasars or Harrahs. But, I gotta say that Ceasars has some craptacular rooms if you get stuck in the Temple rooms. Borgata has A LOT going for it. Wondering if switching to mLife for Vegas and Borgata's loyalty program for AC is a better bet for me. Heck, I get my more perks from Mohegan Sun and I barely play there.

CET is a sinking ship. They are so bankrupt that they are nickel and diming absolutely everything now. I doubt they are going to survive bankruptcy without being liquidated. Might as well jump ship now while you still can and get with another gaming company that isn't run by idiots.
