No Room Availability at OYO

Contrary to that VV story, it looks like you can book through the third party Expedia (you’d think if VV was going to criticize other media outlets, it would get its facts straight). I didn’t go all the way through with the booking but it took me to a page to pay in full or make a deposit. Of course, I think the OP’s problem is they’re not honoring his comps. Those comps were gained in the casino, which hasn’t changed, according to VV, so they should still be good, in theory. And what exactly does “fully booked” mean. Surely Oyo is not totally booked through the end of the year (all 70 some days, everyday?) at a time when Vegas is seeing a downward spiral in number of visitors. I find that hard to believe, especially when I can book any day I want on Expedia. VV gets a C- for this story.

I believe the Vital Vegas info is close to the truth.
True, OYO (the company) is the owner. But they are not the hotel operator.
They are not the operator of any hotel. As you already said, the other OYO properties are just licensed, independently owned and operated.
The problem with OP is that the casino part can't book a room for any guest now because there is no hotel operator!
In other words, the hotel part is not working.
Not surprised considering a few weeks ago the did the same thing to the Hooters restaurant.

This is my pure speculation: I would not be surprised at all if in the very near future a news comes that the entire property is closing down for reno or for sell, etc.

They just changed all their emails and you can book rooms on oyorooms.com.

The host can now be reached at [email protected].
 
The website has a new rate calendar. But it is not showing any availability (yet).

Very odd. And also no players club email so far this month. Used to be clockwork.
 
However I did just check oyorooms.com. I can book the Oyo in Vegas...but I have to go to oyorooms.com/us/ when the original link took me to the GB site, which ONLY shows UK hotels!
 
OYO restructured their comps. No more F&B credit but higher freeplay. Works for me. Wait and see if they actually have rooms available. I will email the host sometime this week.

If anyone had offered to bet me that there would be a 34-post thread on VMB about OYO Las Vegas that didn't involve the words "filthy", "bedbugs", "hookers", or "murder", but did involve the words "comps" and "host", you would have a whole big pile of my money.

I actually never experienced filthy, bedbugs, hookers, or murder. Although, we did have a service provider approach us one night in 2023. Which was really funny. After it was clear we were trolling her she preyed on an absolute drunk patron. I walked over to security. I told them. She was escorted out. The bartender was on commission with her as we had requested a service provider (to troll). Similar with a well endowed Mexican-American, very professional, bartender at the public house in Luxor. I speak Spanish somewhat. My friend from NL, EU (just like me) did not. So I told her that my friend wanted to learn Spanish and was looking for a private tutor. She enjoyed the banter. He turned bright red. Which was really funny to her.

At Bally's AC years ago there was an endless parade of service providers. Despite massive security. And virtually no waitresses. Still entertaining: DOAC!

Update: emailed the OYO host for a comped stay. Also: Bally’s AC still has a 20 security guard to 1 server ratio. I was there last week.
