I am Gold with mlife and am generally happy with the offers that I get from my mlife hotels. I make a couple trips a year and have fluctuated between Gold and Platinum for years. Mlife is my home base for play on every trip.

I have a business trip next month and am staying at a CET property. Due to my schedule, I will have no way to even approach my normal play at MGM properties. Should I avoid tracked play at MGM altogether or should I give them the reduced amount of play I am able to? Which is the better plan to keep my comps consistent until my next regular Vegas gambling trip?

if it's massively reduce play i wouldn't bother playing rated. if it's like half i would play rated.

ADT / theo / average market value is far more sacred than tier status. If you have a huge burning desire to play during your brief periods of free time, entirely avoid MGM properties (do not even bring the Mlife card out of your hotel room, so that there is no chance you will be recorded as being on property) and choose somewhere else to play. If you also have offers that you care about with CET, I hope that you are able to unlink your CR card from your room reservation; otherwise, you will be asking for a lot of forgiveness for short-playing while being recorded as being on property.

Earning a few points is not worth taking a hit to offers. I find I am still getting pretty good Mlife offers even at Gold. Plat does not matter - it is ADT. Leave you MLIFE card in the room.

If staying at CET, do your play there - assuming they have connected your card to your room reservation.

Don't play at all at MGM on the trip. It's a waste of bankroll in this situation.

Use your card and low-play = you'll probably dent your offers.

Don't use your card = you get no benefits for your play.

I mean, the same is true of CET, but if MGM is usually where you stay, it's better to not damage your rating at MGM, and worry less about denting it at CET. And if you have NO history at CET or have only done minimal drive-bys, then you'll either get on their radar or you may actually improve your rating there.

If you're staying at CET why would you even consider gambling at MGM especially if you're going to low play there? Whatever little budget you're planning to gamble, do it at the Caesars property you're staying at and see what kind of offers it generates.

One other thing is whether you are using comps. If you are using comped nights or other comped stuff (like meals, etc.) then...…..no, just don't use or take any comped stuff if you aren't going to be putting in substantial play at your casino.

Like many others have recommended, unless you want your rating lowered I wouldn't even put in play at Mlife properties. Or at least don't give them your card, too much to lose IMHO.

Since you are staying on business presumably your company will pay for your room, food, transportation. So why would you play at MGM and dilute your ADT when comps like food and room would benefit your company and not you?

I would use the opportunity to play at casinos you generally never get to play at out of your typical obligation to MLife.

I had a similar situation last month. Had my room payed for by someone else at a MLife resort. So i didn't use my card when i played since i wasn't gonna be playing as much as a regular trip.

I'd sign up for a CET card if you don't have one and play a little there. You'll get offers for comped rooms and you'll have some options on future trips.
