Don't shoot the messenger, but... I just received via e-mail the American Casino Guide newsletter, and it says (in part):

    ---

    Greetings!
Normally, we are announcing a new American Casino Guide in this September edition of our newsletter. Unfortunately due to COVID, we will not be publishing a new book for the first time in our 28 year history. However, we are trying to extend expiration dates for as many 2020 coupons as possible for an additional year. See below for more details.

    [....]

    2021 American Casino Guide Update
After 28 years of continuously publishing the American Casino Guide, we are sad to say that, due to disruptions in the casino industry caused by the COVID-19 crisis, there will not be a 2021 edition of the book.

Hopefully, things will return to more normal conditions in 2021 and we will be able to print a 2022 edition. We have started asking participating casinos/merchants who have coupons in the 2020 edition if they could extend their coupon expiration dates for an extra year. To see which offers have been extended for an additional year, go to the link below.

Please remember to periodically check this page to see which coupon offers have been extended for an additional year.

    Check Coupon Expiration Dates Now!

    ---

This is too bad, I always looked forward to getting a new book each year. :(

I wonder if you can use the coupons in 2020 and then use them again (with a 2nd book) in 2021.

the notice I saw said that they are working on having the 2020 coupons extended to 2021, regarding using in both years, I'm sure they will have disclaimers on which you can and cannot use both years.

Hopefully the casinos will be lenient about that

I don't think they will publish again. the quality of the coupons has fallen and, if you are not a fan of downtown, there is limited value. I would expect them to go electronic and you show the coupon on your phone. Entertainment books will be next as the LV book this year was going for under $10 and it is hard to find $20 of useable coupons in the book. If Newsweek can go electronic, so can these publications.

I'm hoping they will allow the D and Golden Gate earn up to $100 in free play coupons to be used again in 2021. I play VP and always like to start my trip working through those. I'm disappointed as I was hoping they would add a similar Circa coupon for 2021. I guess we'll have to wait until 2022 to find out if Circa will jump on board with this coupon.

Agree. I use these + the LVA ones each year. Great way to play at a breakeven % and consider the rooms/food/free play mailers as gravy.

They are doing a great job extending these coupons. Just checked the list today and ALOT of the downtown coupons have been extended to 12/29/2021 - The D, Downtown Grand, Plaza, Golden Gate. Good Job American Casino Guide!!! I wish the Las Vegas Advisor was doing the same.

If you haven’t used any of your LVA coupons you’ll be able to return for a 2021 book.

It's interesting how ACG has done a great job getting casinos to extend offers

Then the LVA claims the following. Hmmmmmm

"The short answer to an extension is no.... It's difficult enough working with them to put the program together. Now they're up to their ears with regulations and opening challenges. We wouldn't be able to get through the door to even discuss it."

Those coupons that have been extended by ACG aren’t very exciting in my opinion. But if you have the book you have no other choice since there not publishing one for next year.
At least LVA is offering you a return of unused this year and get a new one next year.

ACG continues to get extensions and the list continues to grow. Boyd is the main outlier now.

Great work by ACG to get almost all the Vegas spots onboard, especially after reading the LVA claim they couldn't get in the door to discuss with anyone.

I stay downtown so that is great news. All of my 2020 trips were cancelled.

I asked them, considering you can only use coupons once a year, if you could use 2020 coupons during the extension in 2021 if you have used a 2020 coupon in 2020. They said they didn't know. Just FYI.

I'm so glad this is happening, I have a fresh book that I have not used at all this year, we went in January and used some, and hoarded some coupons expecting to go back, then My Sha 'Rona hit.
