I think the $7 food and drink menu is on Monday. Have not tried that place yet.

Great comeback, glad to see things are turning around.

As for Mlife points, I’ve played VP at least 4 hours at the B Bar in the past month or so and my point total has not changed. I play $.25 @Max coin, $1.25 a spin. I’m pretty focused on the game and play at a decent clip. I get midweek room comps and $20 freeplay, free comedy club tickets. Not sure why my play is not moving the needle.

My wife loved the food at Izakaya. We got a whole lot of little plates and shared everything. Geoffrey Zakarian has done a great job with their menu. It's amazing. We also did the flights of sake. I tasted five 2 oz pours and my wife had the flight of three. Very nice cold with our Asian food. I highly recommend Izakaya. The bill came out to $171 with tip, but I am going to comp it with express comps. It's my wife's birthday, so I don't mind celebrating.

After dinner, we walked the sculpture walk along the shore behind the Borgata all the way to Harrah's, which felt like it was about a half mile away. No problem walking there if a person is healthy. It doesn't extend to the Golden Nugget, though.

I went down to the casino for my final night of play and had a really fun time playing a game called Dragon Spin at $4/spin. No jackpots, but lots of bonuses of $100-200 and I had a nice time chatting with the other people playing. I've actually only seen one person win a jackpot for this entire trip, which is a little disappointing. I don't think the Borgata's hold is as high as CET (nothing is really), but it would be nice to see more people winning. Today's play was about five hours altogether between my morning and evening sessions. That's a good amount of play for me before I get tired and want to do something else.

    Final totals for this trip:
    Tier credits earned: 20289
    Total loss: $3500
    Points earned: 3600
    Express comps earned: $471

I had hoped that I would make Pearl this trip, but I guess that will have to wait until next time. My wife really wants to see Piff the Magic Dragon when he comes here in March, so we'll probably be here then and maybe before then if I get some free time and save up my money again. Overall, we had a terrific time. My wife was beaming the entire time she was here. She loved the food and the Vista Club room at the Water Club as well as the pool (and pool drinks). We'll definitely be back.

Yeah, my wife pointed out that we came on a Monday the last time we were here, so that's why we were able to do the $7 menu. It was much pricier with the regular menu but this was a special occasion. Currently, I've been getting offers of 3 nights any day of the week, $100 freeplay every two days, and free comedy club tickets or burlesque show tickets. We'll see if this trip's play changes that or not. I think the Borgata will be happy with my amount of play. I averaged about 5 hours a day on the slots playing $3-4 a spin.

I would like to note that the "skill-based games" that Atlantic City made such a hoopla about a while back are apparently all gone. My wife will only play skill-based games and she enjoyed the Match 3 Egypt game they used to have at the Borgata, but on this trip it was nowhere to be found. We asked some slot attendants about it and they didn't even know what skill-based games were. So the news reports on it and everything ended up meaning absolutely nothing. I guess it was an experiment that just didn't work out.

Final updated tier credit score from this trip: 21073. Just missed getting Pearl. Oh, well. It's harder to get status in Atlantic City than Vegas. We'll get there next time. We definitely want to return in March for Piff the Magic Dragon, but maybe we'll come for another weekend before then. We'll see how it goes. I had a really fun time once the bonuses started rolling, which is really the point of all this. I don't expect to really win. I just want to have fun.
