    Hi Gang,

The wife and I will be in Vegas Friday through next Wednesday, and the weather now has the temperatures looking pretty hot - 107 and above during the days (114 at the hottest), and lows around 80 - 84 at night. I just went out and bought myself a few more pairs of nicer shorts for the nighttime (jeans just may be too hot!!)....will most places - bars, lounges, restaraunts, etc., let me in dressed in nice shorts with a nice shirt? I know some of the upscale restaurants will not - they specify "no shorts", but are most places pretty good about it? What about nicer sleeveless shirts, as well?

    Thanks for your help!!

    Gregg.

You will be fine with the choices you've made.
Feeling comfortable makes for a happier visit.
Have a great time and good luck on your trip!

I'm struggling with that, too. I'm going to bring a light cardigan sweater for evenings because the casinos can be a little cold at times.

no matter how "nice" the sleeveless shirt, they may look good on a 20-something or 30ish but much older - no.
now having said that, I would not care or be offended if you wear one. be comfortable and have a good time and win a bunch!
I used to have nice arms and physique. one day I was at the mall and noticed some nice looking sleeveless tees, so I thought I must have one. I went to the dressing room to try on 2 or 3. YIKES! my arms looked like legs! I left out of that store depressed and went home and started lifting. my arms do look a little better now.

I always carry a big shirt or something in the summer in LV just because the AC is so overwhelming in many of the casinos and shops and such.

When I'm in town I tend to hit higher-end restos and lounges, because, I mean, it's Vegas. I do see guys in cargo shorts and polo shirts waltzing in to those places straight off the golf course, and no one really bats an eye. A lot of those guys are the ones that have the unlimited wads of cash or company expense accounts, so the resorts really don't turn them away.

That said, I personally don't wear shorts or t-shirts in places like that. Just a personal choice. If I'm just going to spend a night at the Stage Door or Rock House, sure, casual it up, but I personally feel if a place has put an effort into building an elegant and "classy" establishment, I'm not going to be the one that rolls in looking like I just spent the day drinking Ass Juices at the Double Down.

I agree with LV casinos can be cold ... I wear shorts during day time but as night sets in mostly long linen pants with linen long sleeve shirt/ Ilene summer sweater. And yes, some of the higher end Resturant or bars prefer you wearing long pants

    Three things:

    1. Do your thing. The overwhelming majority of places won't bat an eye...
    2. ...Unless you want to eat at a Wynncore fine dining establishment - they frown on shorts.
    3. Such a beast does not exist.

There is no such thing as a nice sleeveless shirt for guys in settings such as these.

Having actually done that on a few occasions, I usually just eat at the Naked Pizza across the street on my way back to the Hard Rock. They're fine with my outfits!

I always wear a light weight collared shirt. I often wear them with decent shorts. But I do bring a pair or two of nice pants and usually a jacket for a classy restaurant. This trip is solo so I'll be more casual. No jacket , I'll bring at least one pair of nice pants but probably won't wear them. Not seeing fine dinning on this trip
