Just got back from Las Vegas, spent a couple hours on a nickel progressive at The Stratosphere trying to hit the royal progressive, which is up over $1200. Hit several quads, one for $125, missed a royal three times. Walked away up over $150. Very hot bank of either 8 or 10 machines, called "Preferred Poker". Sorry I can't help with a specific location, I can't remember what it is near. Seemed to me it was in the southwest part of the casino floor. Just got this vibe it was gonna pay off soon, but hadda get back downtown and pack to leave, otherwise I woulda stayed until I ran out of cash.

Weren't those machines 15 nickel bets though (aka base royal = $600)? I remember seeing them when I walked through the place in April. I thought they were a bit to the left of the main bar as you walked in. The other thing I recalled about them were the base paytables were quite poor. Even with a double royal flush, it still was probably <98%. But glad they treated you well and hope you had a nice trip!

It was a great trip, Tringlomane. And I did find the ONE machine left at MGM that was nickel quick quads. The slot attendants checked for me, I was told all the QuickQuads were removed. Then spotted it walking out of KA in front of a lounge just before the high limit area. Nice property, good buffet but overpriced. Got the wife hooked on Baccarat at the new electronic tables.

When I was there in August at MSS they have nickle three credit wheels that was at like 36000, not sure the math but could that be close to plus ev? It was way at the back from the entrance closest to Fremont, a single end machine not Ina a bank

That's a 3 coin 10x pay and as of last month it still has not hit. I have been playing that thing for years!
