Yes, I know all about the best places to watch games, best sportsbooks, etc. I'm just thinking there is a different plan of attack when you're solo. It's easy when I'm with my husband or friends because there is always someone that can stay behind to watch your seat. So this is a little different.

There are currently 9 (pending any flexible scheduling changes) 10am games scheduled for that day. I want to make sure I get a decent seat to see MY game, as well as not worry about having my seat stolen (or my drink roofied) when I leave for a potty break.

I don't at all mind places that require a minimum spend or places that require a reservation. That is likely the best option in this situation. I just don't know of all the places that allow this and how I could guarantee a view of my game. It would also be nice to not have to get there early.

On the Strip.... And preferably other suggestions besides Lagasse's. BTDT. :)

If you are flying solo and don't want to be bothered by boys I might suggest a sportsbook would be better than a bar/bar tops etc. One place that is kind of cool that flies under the radar is the Bally's sportsbook. It's a little off the beaten path but during football season it's a pretty good time. Drink prices are pretty reasonable as well. I'm normally at a bar top so my level of authority on this is a bit limited. Lagasse's is kind of the king as it seems you already know. I am also partial to the Mirage sportsbook.

I have done both solo...and like Gaggles I am partial to the book at the Mirage. When I am solo and get up to use the bathroom I take my drink with me and leave my hat and the daily line info sheets sitting on my chair. If it is packed then I just tell my neighbor that I am getting up and leave my hat on the chair and ask them to watch it.

Yeah, the best thing to do is make friends with a neighbor and ask them to hold your seat if you are running to the bathroom and then you can do the same for them. The other option is if you have pull with a host or sportsbook manager, get them to reserve you a seat in their sportsbook.

I'll be on my 3rd or 4th solo trip during football season this Halloween, and my go-to's are always sportsbook VP bars. Either Aria sportsbook bar (not anymore due to 1 drink/30minute BS) Cosmo book and stage during single game viewing (like Monday night), or Bellagio sportsbook bar. Aria/B have enough TVs to watch multiple games, VP which is my love, and your seat is always saved by following standard ettiquette of a napkin over your screen, leave players card in the machine, napkin on top of your drink in front of the machine. Your neighbor can keep an eye out as well.

Find a bar with the big screens above, ask the bartender if you can get "your game" on the TV closest above you. If for some reason he cannot oblige try the next bar and/or bartender.
Oh yeah and get there early.
