I think Matthew Stafford deserves a better organization to work for...

The Texans are a s-show. They found a franchise quarterback, let O'Brien royally screw up the place, and then ruined the relationship between the quarterback and the team. They told him he would be involved in the process in some way, then ignored what they told him and just did it their own way. The owner couldn't be bothered to even show up at the press conference announcing the new coach. The new coach acts like nothing is wrong.

I don't know how it will all come out, but it all looks bleak now. Easterby has been a huge part of the screw ups and he has the full support of ownership.

Watson should not play unless they vastly improve the offensive line. Those guys have been so bad that he takes too many hits every year.

My two favorite teams have the worst owners, in my opinion, in football. The other team is the WFT.

They should get rid of Easterby , he is the one that has that circus going, as far as new GM Caseiro is real good has been Patriots GM thru their great run.

Couldn't agree more. I grew up a HUGE DC fan. The Gibbs teams helped me fall in love with the game. And even when Snyder took over, i felt good. He was willing to spend money. Sure, some of those early years they spent the money on vets too far past their primes. But I assured my friends it was all good. Snyder is willing to spend and do what it takes to win. Just give it time til we get better personnel in place.

At some point along the way (not recently) I gave up. No longer a fan whatsoever. Along with UK, the WFT was the other sports team I was crazy about for more than half my life. Now, I can't even care enough to tune in. Turns out Snyder was much more concerned about control and protecting has fragile, thin skinned ego. As a result, he drove a once proud franchise into the ground. I won't even list the mistakes and atrocities (not an overstatement) that have taken place during his ownership. Much like another team I cheered for when I was younger (the Knicks), this franchise will be nothing until they get a new owner. Snyder deserves all the bad things that can happen to him for all the people he has hurt over the past two decades and all the misery he has caused

...but he is the one the owner seems to put the most stock in of all the employees involved in football operations. He is also likely the largest part of the Watson problem. I'd like to see him gone from the team, but I don't see it happening.

I started by listening to their games in the early 70's when my dad was stationed at Arlington Hall. Once I moved back to the area in the mid-80's, I became a fan. I was lucky enough to see a lot of games in the Gibbs era at RFK Stadium. What a fantastic dilapidated madhouse that old place was to watch a game! Playoff games were crazy!!

I moved away pretty soon after Snyder took over but still followed them. It has been a fairly horrid era. They tried to bring Gibbs back, but the magic of his original era was gone, along with an owner (and no salary cap issues) willing to spend the money on the pieces the team needed.

I still pull for them and hope they improve...but Snyder is young enough he can keep them down for decades to come!

Yeah, I don't expect him to ever sell (unless he goes to jail). My fandom ended so long ago, I can't see it ever coming back

The Rams have traded Jared Goff, a future third-round pick, and two future first-round picks to Detroit for Matthew Stafford, a source confirmed.
    @AdamSchefter on Twitter

The Lions are trading QB Matthew Stafford to the Rams for a 2022 first-round pick, 2023 first-round pick, 2021 third-round pick and QB Jared Goff. Deal can’t be formalized til March, but this is what Stafford wanted.

He has a house in Newport Beach.

Definitely better. A lot? Possible. I think stafford is going to have to adapt. The rams run an offense unlike any he has run in his career. But he certainly seems capable.

As for Indy, my gut says they still want Wentz or Watson. But I can't see Houston trading in the division. I think they want someone more experienced than Darnold

They gave up the farm , IMO for a so-so QB.

Wentz fits with Indy , their coach Reich was his O Coordinator , that seems to be what Indy wants.

Stafford-Goff trade seems a win-win. Stafford probably makes LA the Western Division favorites while Detroit gets a serviceable replacement and three more potential starters. Only time will tell.
