I'm in Vegas in a few weeks when NFL pre-season is on.

I'm assuming a bet on pre-season is just silly as team's aren't really playing their starters, or can you find out in advance which back up QBs, for example, will be playing and there is a betting angle to take?

I can bet on the NFL at home in Ireland anyway, so it's not a must bet for me, but I like the idea of an NFL bet in Las Vegas.

Sure. You just have to do your research. Whichever teams you're interested in betting on, read the beat writers reports on the team in the week leading up to the game. The teams don't usually hide much in the preseason. It also looks like you will be there during the third week of preseason. Just bet the first halfs of those games. A lot of teams play their starters for a half during week three.

Your instinct, though, is right. preseason is a sucker bet. I speak from experience, lol. If you want action, just flip a coin and bet it. There's not much point in studying up for a preseason game

First half bet is a good idea. I’m a Cowboys fan. Will check out who they are playing when I’m in town.

Betting preseason is usually a toss up.. so I uaually bet the underdog moneyline. and if that fails bet coaches that are aggressive, Mike Zimmer, Pete Carrol, and Harbaugh.. Their record in pre season speaks for itself.

I have a buddy that used to work for a pro gambler. He told me a story of a killing they made betting on those early Steve Spurrier coached Washington pre-season games, I guess before Vegas realized that the old ball coach was so competitive that he treated preseason like the regular season, lol

LOL just bet on your team losing every game this entire season and you'll come out on top...and when they play the Eagles, withdraw your entire bank account and bet it on the Eagles. You'll be a millionaire in no time :)

My buddy does well on DFS during preseason cause most people don't do research on 4th stringers playing in these games,

the costanza approach makes sense for preseason.
