I'd actually rather leave it unchanged, as whoever is reading this report from the beginning will be in for a nice surprise when they realize this trip goes beyond Aug 3 :)

Magnums are such a junior size... that's why I didn't bother picking it up.

Check your text. Texted you something about the Wynn. Be sure you check it out before you head out.

Skipped the pool, got into a groove with work. I’m hanging out at the pool most of the day tomorrow anyhow, and probably Thursday too

    All set up at bingo

On break between the warmup and main sessions I went down to the casino. $20 in on top dollar, made it up to $23.25

Went to play a similar machine next to it, hit a 70 credit bonus on $0.25 credits, got me up to $35.50

Wanted to take the $15 winnings and play it on roulette, split between my lucky numbers 13 and 31. Figure I’ll split it $3 and $2, I’ll have three bets.

There was a lineup at the ticket redemption machine. Part of me thought to do that. But my instinct said “NFC, screw the redemption, get the fuck over to that roulette table and just buy in with cash... it’s going to hit”

Boom. First spin, 13, $3 bet, $105 payout

The only time I have paid to play bingo in Vegas was at the plaza for a tournament. Back then there was no limit for doughnuts, and all the doughnuts would get taken very early. I saw people who had a big stack at their table. I don’t care for donuts myself I just noticed people taking so many. 2 donuts seems reasonable for a person and not chintzy at all

For lunch we could buy sandwiches from a vendor outside the bingo room there was no free lunch.

I agree about the donuts. I don't think they are being stingy. there will always be a few greedy pigs that force them to put up limits.
probably some folks that bring Ziploc bags and go crazy.

No more winners on bingo. It was still a great time regardless. I’d happily do it again!

The $50,000 coverall winner got it in just 46 numbers. What a payday!

Here’s a shot from my seat. Huge room, as you can see.

Here are some of my near misses

I hit the slots after bingo, and dropped $40 on this “Quack” offer type game next to top dollar. Then back over to my martians machine which I won on earlier. Quickly hit this

One “offer” round yielded 75 credits. The next got me 170.

Was now at $73.75... took $10 and tried it for two spins on roulette with the same combination. Both losers. Meh.

Just in my room charging my phone now. Will be heading down to Wynn shortly.

Also, here’s a roundup of some cool vintage photos I’ve seen so far on my trip

An old one of William Harrah, at Range in Laughlin

A poker room photo at Top of Binion’s

From a Plaza balcony back in the day. I wouldn’t normally make a remark like this... but what an exceptionally elegant woman that is. Even through the photo, I can feel as though she had an aura about her in person.

A colour photo looking in the same direction. So much and so little has changed!
