You are doing a great job NFC as I could never do it.
I go to Vegas 4 nights a year (skipped the last 2 years) and as much fun as I have there, I love going home LOL.

Darn. I was hoping it was because she had wooden teeth and could chop down cherry trees with the best of them.

Didn’t have the energy for the pool. All shaved up, and on my way down to bingo for the continental breakfast... then going to try and get some work in before warmup sessions start at 11

Honest hour. When I skimmed your initial post way-back-when, I thought, "Meh. Not really interested." BUT, I've read every line every day. Your TR is, if you'll forgive me, quirky and strangely compelling. I'm enjoying the heck out of it. Thank you.

Hooooh. We’ve got a full room today!

Open bar is nice and stocked

Unsurprisingly, the continental breakfast is just coffee, juice, and donuts. I’m off to Brightside... will be back up at 11:00 am for warmups

BINGO!!! Split the final warmup game for $500 each. Best part, the other winner was DIRECTLY across from me!

Off to an awesome start :)

Do you have to yell bingo or touch the numbers? In other words, if *I* did it, would it be deaf-friendly?

The machine marks the numbers for you. You literally have to do nothing but lean back and watch. So you wouldn’t have to try and mark the numbers yourself.

You do have to “declare” bingo, which could be done by shouting or raising your hand. Your machine will make it very clear though if you’ve gotten bingo, so you’ll know exactly when that happens.

I would say it is completely deaf friendly.

Heh heh. That dam near Laughlin vs Hoover dam near Las Vegas. Seems to scale just about right!

Just on break from Bingo... boxed lunch had fruit, chips, a sandwich, and a bag of Famous Amos cookies. Couldn’t have the chips as I’m allergic, and this has to be the saddest orange I’ve ever seen...

Luckily, I don’t especially care for oranges. I like the idea of providing a boxed lunch, very efficient!

I stocked up on these too, to stay at least somewhat healthy

Back at it in about 15... let’s get that coverall!

@notfromconcentrate thanks for the stories. Given your extension at Las Vegas do you still plan to attend Akhob? I was wondering whether I should attend and bring the Wife. Not sure if it is a waste of time.

Pleasure to do! I actually already did Akhob on the fourth day of my trip. No photos here as they don’t allow photography.

I’d say it’s worth it if you don’t have anything else to do. It was interesting for sure, and a somewhat trippy immersive experience. I’m glad I did it, though can’t say I’d go out if my way to do it. Net positive review though.

Bingo finished. No more winners, but the electric energy as the $25,000, $8,000, and $4,000 coveralls were called was just something else to witness.

... and right afterward, so was The lineup for the elevator on the third floor!

Running off to the pool now, leaving my phone in the room to let all calls go to voicemail.

Debating options for dinner afterward. Number one contender is currently Triple George. Any other suggestions?

Triple George is fantastic. Can't give you an idea on price, since my host at DTG comp'd it.

Quality red meat cooked to perfection. Largest scallops I've ever seen.
